4 day intermediate ski touring course in the Cairngorms, Scotland
This intermediate ski touring course is aimed at people with previous ski touring experience or a high level of ski ability who have aspirations to undertake Scotland’s most challenging ski touring course or extended hut to hut tours overseas. The high massif of the Cairngorms is the ideal venue for ski touring in Scotland and there are plenty of challenging routes on which to refine and improve your skills and techniques.
Joining a group of just 6 clients, you will spend time in the company of our mountain and ski instructors and you will have the opportunity to develop your off-piste ski technique and ski touring skills on steeper terrain, as well as furthering your understanding of avalanche awareness and mountain safety. We will also cover the essential alpine skills for ski tours overseas including glacier travel and crevasse rescue. This course is the ideal preparation for our Haute Route ski tour.

- Our accommodation for your intermediate ski touring course is in a 4-star hotel, located within a sleepy Highland village with views towards the main Cairngorm Plateau. A warm welcome is assured, and you can choose to spend the evenings next to a roaring fire in the lounge or in the friendly bar. Accommodation is in twin or double rooms with en-suite bathroom facilities. Subject to availability, single rooms are available on request - early booking is recommended. The single supplement is £50 for this trip.
Food is of paramount importance when enjoying the mountains in winter and our meals are prepared from the best of local produce. The hotel has an excellent menu, which we enjoy in the comfortable bar each evening.
