Trans High Atlas Mountains Cycle

Cycle from the fascinating city of Marrakech to the Atlantic coast, crossing the beautiful High Atlas and Anti-Atlas mountains enroute.

Our cycle challenge takes us from the wonderful, bustling souks of Marrakech through the foothills of the High Atlas mountains into the spectacular, remote and colourful Anti Atlas mountains. Strange rock formations and ochre-coloured villages are the backdrop to the many climbs and descents that await us as we cycle towards the Atlantic coast. Coming out of the mountains, we head for the colourful walled town of Tiznit, renowned for its striking pink buildings.

DAY 1: Depart London for Marrakech
DAY 2: Free day to explore fascinating city and souks of Marrakech
DAY 3: Cycle south to High Atlas mountains; strenuous ascent towards Asni
Day 4: Steep climb to Tizi-n-Test pass (2095m); fabulous descent through amazing scenery
DAY 5: Head into beautiful Anti Atlas mountains, passing through small ochre-coloured villages
DAY 6: Rolling roads through green oases, mountain villages and wonderful rock formations
DAY 7: Time to explore Tafraoute's otherworldly landscape and painted rocks; cycle towards coast and finish at vibrant Tiznit
DAY 8: Free day to explore the coast, shop for souvenirs and relax
DAY 9: Transfer to Agadir and return flight to London
