Bike Borneo- Tuaran Day Ride
The hills and coastal plains surrounding the market town of Tuaran is home to the Dusun tribe. They make use of the natural environment for farming rice, fruit and coconuts as well as tapping rubber, hunting and fishing.
This cycling tour takes us through the heartland of the Dusun people; through small riverside villages, jungle plantations and finishes at the coast. For forty percent of this ride, you will cycle on rough dirt roads and the remainder is on small village roads with very little traffic. There are three hanging bridges to add to the excitement!
We finish the ride at a Lotud Dusun Cultural centre where we will have a traditional lunch by the river.
