Lower Dolpo Trekking
Lower Dolpa is one of the remote regions of mid-west Nepal and the focus point of this area is Shey Phoksumdo National Park. The Dolpo region is the natural embodiment of high passes, rare flora and fauna, and sweeping vistas, which is enriched by the traditional Tibetan cultural heritage. This region, surrounded by Dhaulagiri and Tibet from south and north respectively. Lower Dolpa is regarded as a blend of natural and cultural phenomena. This rain shadow area was opened in 1991 for trekking tour, here the climatic situation is as in Tibetan plateau, The maximum elevation of the trekking tour will be 4,530 m. to 5,115 m. and is one of the most arduous treks of the country. The trekking tour is certainly a challenging one and recommended for those who have plenty of walking experiences in a tough terrain, the walking hour on this trekking tour is minimum 5 each day and some days over 7 hours. The participants do not need to have abnormal physical abilities but should be in good physical condition to enjoy the trek.
