Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive in Lima, Peru, meet & transfer to hotel
Day 2 - Short flight to Cusco, capitol of the Incan empire. Meet at airport and transfer to hotel. Walking tour of Cusco. You determine the level of activity as you adapt to 3400 M (11,000 ft) altitude. Meals in restaurants of your choice. After dinner, option to explore high altitude nightlife.
Day 3 - Travel to outskirts of Cusco, including guided tours of Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay and Pukapukara. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 4 - On to village in Sacred Valley to begin cooking adventure. Visit market to purchase ingredients to create culinary masterpiece. Spend the day with Qechua family who will share kitchen and cooking techniques. After your meal with host family, transfer to your hotel in the ancient town of Ollantaytambo.
Day 5 - Escorted by train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. Here you can visit the local artisan market, relax in the local thermal spa and enjoy a dinner in local restaurant
Day 6 - Trip to Machu Picchu.
Private tour before you wander the ruins on your own. By late afternoon, you start the journey back to Cusco for the night.
Day 7 - Free morning in Cusco. We terminate our service at the Cusco airport where you will catch your afternoon flight to Lima and your connection for overnight flight home
Day 8 - Arrival at next destination.
All accommodations are 3* hotels with private baths
