A superb mountain biking and cycling holiday through the Lake District of Chile and Argentina - a landscape of snow capped volcanoes, deep valleys, lakes and forests, set against the awesome Andes - this is an area of outstanding natural beauty!
Well paced, this mountain biking and cycling holiday is on a combination of quiet roads, gravel tracks and earth roads that skirt immense lakes and pass through sleepy villages allowing us to absorb ourselves fully in the Lake District of Chile & Argentina, its people and their way of life.
From Puerto Montt, our initial cycling taking us past Alcerce Andino, Ensenada, Lago Llanquihue, Volcano Osorno & Saltos de Petrohue. Next we head into Argentina, crossing the border by bike before reaching Villa La Angostura and Bariloche. From here we continue cycling along La Ruta de Las Siete Lagos‚ to San Martin de los Andes, the perfect place to relax & reflect on the cycling holiday so far. More incredible volcanoes and towering arucaria trees line our cycling route back to Chile.
Volcan Villarica beckons us to the picturesque town of Pucon, where for the adventurous, the climb to the top of Volcan Villarrica is an experience never to be forgotten!
