Don't Miss

The beautiful Tarentaise valley has several local bouldering spots and climbing routes, only 30 mins from the hostel. Also on the GR5, with lots of refuges and hikes in and around the Vanoise National Park.

Getting there

We are 5 minutes walk from the bus/train station on the main road through Bourg St Maurice. Or approx 300m after entering Bourg from Moutiers/Albertville by car.

By Road Take the RN90 from Albertville to Moutiers (signposted for Tarentaise) after moutiers follow signs for Bourg St Maurice. After entering Bourg, you will pass a set of traffic lights. Carry straight on at the round about, down the man road and we are about 100m on the left above the veterinary clinic. If you pass Lidl, you have gone too far. DO NOT park in the area behind the vets, or in the vet's parking. The on road parking is free. The entrance is situated up the stairs in the car park to the rear of the building.
By Rail Exit the Train/bus station and turn left. Walk about five minutes up the main road until you reach Lidl. We are on the opposite (rt hand) side of the road, above the veterinary clinic. The entrance is situated up the stairs in the car park to the rear of the building.
By Air Fly into Geneva/Lyon/Grenoble or Chambery (only open in winter) most of them have connecting trains (www.voyages-sncf.com or www.europerail.com or busses www.altibus.com) For private trasfer we recommend the CoolBus. They have a forum you can use to coordinate transfers with other people.
By Sea Take a ferry to Calais or a nearby port and follow a road map directions to Bourg St Maurice.

Other Insider Info.

The french have a bad rep for being rude and obnoxious, but this is definitely not the case! Most french people like it when you make an effort speaking french so if you get lost or need help or generally on a day to day basis, try your best to communicate with the locals!
