The activity holiday combines, 7 days trekking in Annapurna region, 2 nights/ 3 days jungle safari in Chitwan National Park, 2 days rafting and a strong cultural experience which will give you a deeper understanding of Buddhism and Hinduism in Nepal.
Itinerary:
Arrival and 2 days spent in Katmandu exploring the rich heritage and preparing for the trek.
Trekking in the Annapurna Region:
A 7 day trek with stunning views of the Himalayas, including the south face of Annapurna, Machhapuchre, and Himchuliand. We pass through many beautiful Gurung villages (home of the British Gurka soldiers) and immerse ourselt in Himalayan culture and hospitality. On the 7th day, having crossed the high point of 3400m, we take an early morning hike to the Poon hill and take the breathtaking views of the Himalayan range of Nepal from Mt. Dhaulagiri to Mt. Manaslu when the sun rises from the mountains. The sight is unforgettable and eternal. We then descend down towards Tatopan the place of the natural hot spring. The hot spring is natural and bathing there is said to heal body and mind.
Nepal Jungle Safari:
This 3 day safari is based in a Jungle lodge in Chitwan. With naturalist guides providing you with a keen insight into the flora and fauna of the region you will head out on elephant safaris, bird watching tours, canoe rides,and be able to partake in the bathing of an Asian elephant. Look out for one horned rhino and tigers if we are lucky.
White water rafting in the Himalayas:
Start out practicing on grade III to III+ rapids of Bhote Koshi, then head towards the Tibet border ready for a big rafting day on day 2, with 4 hours of rapid after rapid.
Finally we return to Kathmandu for further exploring, shopping and farewell dinners.
