Poon Hill Trek in Annapurna region of Nepal
Join us for a 5 day trek in the Annapurna region, part of a 10 day adventure in Nepal! We take you through some of the most famous mountain scenery in the world, introduce you the fascinating local cultures, and stay in family run village accommodation along the way. Before we head out on this trek in the foothills of the Annapurna, we also provide accommodation in Kathmandu and take you out to explore the city and it's heritage.
The trek starts from Pokhara, an attractive 6 hour drive. After 2 days of walking in the Himalayas we reach Deorali (3180 m) which is the highest point of the trek and offers stunning views. The following morning we get up before dawn for a trek to Poon Hill (10,200 ft) to view a magnificent sunrise over the Annapurna Range. Before all that we will have stayed in Ghandrung, the largest Gurung village in Nepal and home of the Gurkhas. The brave and chivalrous Gurkhas have earned themselves the reputation as the most loyal and indomitable soldiers in the world!
At the end of the trek, we rest up and explore Pokhara before returning to Kathmandu for your onward journey.
