Its not all 'work and no play' before Irene!

Despite the East Coast of America being battered by Hurricane Irene recently, some surfers quit boarding up their windows and heading out of town to enjoy some pre-hurricane surf at Long Beach. Next week the pro's get to surf the breaks at the Quicksilver Pro Tournament.

Looks like Irene is passing now, so its probably safe to start thinking about going surfing again at Long Beach - plenty of other surf holidays available too though!
