Alpkit Outdoor Festival 14-16 October 2011

6th September 2011

Alpkit have teamed up with Thornbridge Outdoors to put on what is described as “the UK’s most exciting outdoor festival”. The adventure festival aims to bring together a wide range of courses and people in their “School of Adventure”. The BigShakeout is designed to appeal to anyone interested in outdoor activities, be it cycling, climbing as well as craft and photography sessions.
The days will be filled with short courses and experiences and the evenings are occupied with a programme of music, films, lectures and seminars. This is an outdoor festival designed to introduce you to new adventure experiences in a family friendly, easy going environment with likeminded people.
Outdoor activities offered include climbing, cycle and first aid workshops, caving and high ropes. As well as lectures or master classes from such names as Andy Kirkpatrick, Johnny Dawes, Shauna Coxley and James Garden.
Aiden Harding is running a bike packing seminar, you might remember him from our article on the Tour Divide.
A weekend pass is £40 for adults, £20 for under 16s and under 3s are free.
