Bamboo bottles...

We love finding companies doing old things in a new way, integrating green design into their products. Not only can they reduce the environmental impact of the product, but more often than not, the design itself is one of simple beauty.
We recently found the Bamboo Bottle Company and reckon its worth sharing.
More and more people seem to be using their Sigg or Nalgene bottles to take water wherever they go, so the Bamboo Bottle Company have come up with a bottle integrating bamboo into its design.
Bamboo seems the perfect material ecologically speaking, as its fast growing, strong and replenishable - the perfect renewable resource? Of course, there are other materials in the bottle, but the Bamboo Bottle Company has carefully selected BPA-free glass, which won't leach chemicals into your drink, is machine washable, helps insulate your drink and uses recycled glass in its construction, and BPA-free plastics which are also dishwasher safe. All the materials can be either recycled or disposed of in a friendly manner!
It may not be made from 100% natural materials (yet!), but as a piece of green design, we think it's a fantastic bottle...
