What do we say?

Alaska Alpine Adventures is a top notch and experienced operator in one of the most scenic and adventure-happy areas of the world. With fun guides that know all the areas gorgeous routes and trails like the back of their hands as well as a fantastic appreciation of their extraordinary environment, this really is a muchbetter way to explore the best of what Alaska has to offer.

We have already integrated sustainable practices into most areas of operation but still plan to go further

Our Future Action Plan

  • 2012: Additional windows in our Lake Clark Operations. This will aid with passive heating during the season.
  • 2012: Beefed up'd recycling program. At our Anchorage facility, we are going to add receptacles to make recycling easier for our employees. All are currently encouraged to recycle, but additional receptacles will aid it facilitating good practice.
  • 2012: Combined office space - We're are looking at sharing our office space with a start-up business we are a part of. This certainly will reduce our footprint for 2012.
  • Done: Invest in local organizations that promote sustainability. (We are proud supporters of Alaska Wilderness, Recreation & Tourism Association, Friends of Chugach, LNT and Adventure Green Alaska.)
  • Done: Upgrade to newer, more fuel efficient vehicles:In 2011 we purchased (2) 2009 Ford Econoline 15passenger vans to upgrade our fleet.
  • Done: We now operate out of a warehouse/office combo that is located in a more central location to our business needs. This has greatly increased our efficiency with less trips between our operations (office, storage, local vendors) and we now have direct
