What do we say?
Maya and Mikael have got a great set up in the stunning surroundings of Swedish Lapland. Find out what it is like to live life above the arctic circle, and enjoy a huge variety of outdoor activites that will keep you warm! Snow shoeing, cross country skiing, igloo building, horseback riding, dog sledding, reindeer visits, yoga, wilderness retreats and much more, but that is just winter! You will probably want to come back for a summer in Sweden and try out the cycling, walking and canoeing too.
You can be sure to be well fed and looked after by this friendly team who also have a true commitment to sustainability that comes across in eveything they do.

We have already integrated sustainable practices into most areas of operation but still plan to go further
Our Future Action Plan
- IN PROGRESS. PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL FARMER. By summer 2010, we want to further develop our organic garden, so we can rely entirely on this for providing produce for the summer season, and, for the winter season, at least partly use root vegetables produce
- DONE, OR NO LONGER NECESSARY. Over the next few years we will add extra glass for our windows and better insulation to certain areas of the house.
- DONE! During 2010, we would like to research other options for increasing energy efficiency in the construction and operation of the guesthouse
- DONE - PARTNERSHIP WITH SWEDISH TRAIN NETWORKWe would like to encourage more of our guests to use public transport by providing information and offering more holiday packages using public transport.
- NEW 2011/2012: Research possible new locations for an eco-retreat preferably in a small village or wilderness location close to a nature reserve or protected area.
