Having operated catered chalets in La Plagne for 8 years, for 2010 we are proud to introduce our family run chalet-hotel Les Rhododendrons, situated at high altitude in La Plagne 1800 – Paradiski. Paradiski is one of the world’s leading ski areas with 425km of pistes – perfect for mixed ability ski groups and the ideal winter sports adventure holiday!

What do we say?

The Rhododendrons has recently come under new ownership with Camilla and her popular host family who have big plans for this large, comfortable and friendly hotel.

They have a wealth of experience in La Plagne 1800 ensuring that visitors get the most out of their stay in the heart of one of the best ski locations in the world. With fantastic food and stunning pistes its no wonder that guests keep going back.

Our Future Action Plan

  • Boilers and hot pipes will be insulated before next use in November 2010
  • During the summer of 2011, some windows and exterior doors will be replaced to maximise heat efficiency throughout the winter.
  • We have planned to replace all lighting with energy efficient bulbs by January 2010
  • A full building efficiency assessment will be carried out prior to the winter season to identify how to increase energy efficiency - most notably how to optimise heating since the climate is very cold during the winter. A schedule of necessary works for
  • Our staff training course and manual will include a section specifically to increase awareness of sustainability and highlight particular issues where their input is essential including, waste management, water management and energy efficiency.
  • For the 2010-2011 winter season we will minimise use of the stronger cleaning products (such as bleaches) wherever possible and use more eco-friendly solutions.
