Very well organised trip by a very good company. The guide and porter were knowledgeable, extremely kind and took very good care of me. Good hotels. I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend the trek to anyone who loves mountain walking as this has to be one of the world's most beautiful places.

The trek itself to EBC and Kala Patthar was of course beautiful. The guide and porter were exceptionally kind, responsible, and generous. I literally didn't have to do anything for myself except for the whole walking bit. They were attentive and went out of their way to make sure that I was comfortable and well-looked after. I would definitely recommend this tour company to everyone!

We decided to do the EBC trek already somewhere in May, so we had plenty of time to prepare ourselves which raised questions many many times. And everytime, literally within a minute sometimes, Prem would respond to our e-mails. Our experience is that whatever your wishes or demands are, Prem and his team will be able to arrange it for you. The trekking was absolutely amazing and was made even better by our guides Gyanu and Rabin (if not for the countless card-tricks we have learned from them), with Rabin running ahead to make sure we were in the nicest guesthouses and Gyanu starting to sing Nepalese songs when one of us was having a tough moment. But: never underestimate the dangers and difficulties of trekking at such high altitude.. Luckily, Gyanu is a very experienced guide, and we have to say it is thanks to him and his expertise that our trip was such a success. We definitely had the time of our lives!

Thanks so much for organizing an unforgettable trip! Hope to make it back to Nepal soon... Anyone considering a trek in the Himalayas, Would strongly encourage anyone who appreciates trekking to check out Annapurna and have no reservations whatsoever about recommending the Ace the Himalaya team. The Ace team was incredibly organized, accommodating, knowledgeable in addition to being overall fun people with whom we were happy to spend time during the trek.

I had been interested in the Everest Base camp hike for a couple of years, and after careful research chose "Ace the Himalaya" as our guide company. Everything went off just as advertised-- airport pickup, hotel, domestic (Nepal) flights, accomodations, etc. Our guide was very interested and knowledgable, and easily got us to where we needed to be each night. And our porter was hard-working to say the least-- I think our gear weighed as much as he did! The city tour after the trek (Kathmandu) was also a good value.

I was very disappointed with the company that I chose and their response to my issues. I paid for a solo trip but was asked on my first day if I would travel with another trekker to EBC; I said yes. It was a perfect trip to EBC and one of my best adventures ever. After EBC my guide took the other trekker back down. I had paid for an extended trip and was scheduled to keep hiking. The guide couldn't take us both in different directions so I was left with a 17 year old porter who didn't speak English. I became very sick and the rest of my trip was very stressful and miserable trying to get back down and through the airports. Ace the Himalaya refused to refund the extra money that I paid for a solo trip after learning about my bad experience. Prem said it was my fault for not telling them before I left Nepal. Prem said the guide said I was okay with traveling alone but i didn't have a choice. There was one guide and two trekkers. I was told, not asked, to go alone. I also let Prem know th...

Dhaulagiri Circuit trek is a very challenging trek (especially in November) and the whole Ace The Himalaya team handled things very well from my airport pickup to returning gear afterward. At the outset I felt I could totally rely on Pasang as my guide - he's strong, good-natured and was able to organize all the details involved in mounting a trip like this in a safe and considerate manner. He's also a great step-cutter, which came in handy as it had snowed heavily before we reached the high passes. The food was always tasty and ample, the cook often surprising me with the variety he was able to come up with. The whole crew was upbeat and fun to travel with, from bringing the morning tea & bath water to singing Nepali songs at night. In addition I really appreciated the sanctuary my sturdy tent and warm sleeping bag provided against the icy winds!

We've just safely arrived to home after incredible and unforgettable trekking! So I'd like to use this opportunity and say "thank you!" once again to the whole Ace The Himalaya team for providing us with such a great experience! Quoting my husband, Alex: "It's the best vacation in my life. Ever!" Our special thanks to Rajendra, our guide, who, we believe, is the best guide we could get! His customer focus, care, parience, always positive attitude and great tactfullness combined with high professionalism and fantastic local insight couldn't be underestimated! He and Bidur, our porter, really MADE this journey for us! More thanks to Romis, Monas and Dan (rafting team) who also provided us with great service and support on our way through Nepal. Wish you good luck and further prosperity to your business, which, I believe, is inevitable with such a team! We really fell in love with the country and trekking! So, hope to see you next year!

The Everest Base Camp trek is one of the most enjoyable holidays I have been on. The ACE team organized every little detail and our guides, Raj, Durwa and Amar did everything possible to ensure that we had a safe and pleasant journey. Apart from reaching Base Camp, the most exciting part of the holiday was definitely reaching the summit of Kalapattar at an unearthly hour in the morning! The last leg of the Kalapattar climb was difficult but thanks to Raj we made it. I also celebrated my birthday at Base Camp, which made the trip even more memorable and special. I would highly recommend this tour and the ACE team to anyone considering doing the EBC trek. It is truly a life-changing experience!

I had evaluated 6 different Nepalese trekking companies before I decided to do my trek with Ace, and I've never had any reason to regret my decision. From the time that I was picked up at the Kathmandu airport, and to the time that I was dropped off back again at the end of my trip, they were super-helpful, efficient and thoroughly professional. From helping me buy the trekking gear that I had not brought with me in Kathmandu, to being flexible enough to allow me to change my travel plans at the last moment because of an urgent meeting back home, they literally went above and beyond the call of duty in order to make my trek a truly memorable one. I must also say a few words about our lead trekking guide (Raj) and his 2 assistants - Durbha and Omar. Things don't always work according to plan at such altitudes, especially when you have to deal with sudden changes in the weather and other such things, but the 3 of them made sure that pretty much everything ran smoothly right throughou...

Absolutely the best trip ever. We couldn't have asked for better guides and porters. Throughout the trek, we felt totally cared for. Our guides were really conscientious, enthusiastic, funny, inspiring, etc... Every day of the trek was an adventure. What we did and saw totally exceeded all expectations. The culture was amazing, the mountains were breathtaking, the trekking was invigorating (hard but invigorating). I can hardly wait to come back and do it again!

I am writing in trip advisor in the aftermath of my trip to commend the services of ACE employees. Both my guide, Milon, and my Porter, Ame, were very friendly, helpful and professional in their work. Ame was a strong walker and always ensured that my bag got to my destination before I did! He was also friendly and polite and did a very good job. Milon was a very knowledgeable guide who always gave me information regarding the mountains, our route and journey, the local culture, and Nepali history. He was very thorough and diligent in his duties, ensuring that I had everything that I needed, always asking questions for me and helping me when i was unsure or uncertain about anything. He would always make sure that I had enough food and drink, and at the right time, or that I was warm enough. On the treks he would allow me to go at the pace which I wanted, and checked to see if I was coping with the altitude. He was very professional, ensuring that I had the best possible experience whi...

I can truly say that I was sad to leave Nepal at the end of my recent Everest Base Camp trek with Ace the Himalaya. As a female traveling alone, I was nervous about what I might encounter in Nepal. However, it turns out that I had nothing to worry about. This was a "trip of a lifetime" for me, and the guides (Keshab and Toya) and porters (Rajes, Babu, and Siva) blew my expectations out of the water. They took care of absolutely every possible logistic, and went well above and beyond to make sure that our group had everything we could possibly want or need. Even when I got sick on the trek, Keshab took care of me like a member of his family. Since returning to the US, I've been dreaming about when I can come back. I had the time of my life, and I'm grateful to the Ace staff for providing me with the best vacation ever. I'm not sure when I'll be back, but you can be sure it will be with Ace the Himalaya.

What an incredible experience - and Ace The Himalaya - you are "ace". Our trek to Everest Base Camp and Kalla Pattar in March/April 2009 lived up to and surpassed my expectations. Everything was organised in a highly professional manner - from dealing with our pre-trip questions and requests, the initial briefing on arrival, the trip transport arrangements including airport transfers and the return flight to Lukla, the accommodation arrangements, the provision of friendly sherpas to carry our luggage between tea houses, and the efficiency, friendliness, imagination, and diligence of our guides, Case, Raj and Robin. Our guides ability to monitor our health, habits and interests was outstanding so by the time our trek was over they knew us very well and became our friends. Perhaps the greatest peace of mind our future travelers may be given is Ace The Himalaya's ability to handle an emergency. I developed High Altitude Sickness by the time we reached Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp ...

I wanted to let you know I had the most amazing experience with Raj, Ganesh and Balkamar! I have already have recommended Raj/Ace to some Australians I met in Nepal and would absolutely recommend him and Ace to future clients. Raj was an amazing guide and truly made my trip to Nepal the most fantastic experience. Thank you for placing me in such great hands. I must admit coming to Nepal as a single woman left me with a few safety concerns. I never once felt unsafe, thank you for running a first class organization. I can not tell you how much I appreciated Raj's punctuality, great spirit, professionalism and his ability to make me always feel comfortable. Ganesh is also incredible and I know he will be an excellent guide in the future. Raj and Ganesh are a fantastic team. Balkamar was very sweet as well.

I was cheered by the reflection that our friendship had been tempered into bonds of steel by the Ace himalaya experience we had had together. The spirit of our guides was excellent and the shepras were beyond praise. The wilderness of mountains that surrounded us was a vision such as too few human eyes have beheld. I can only suggest that anyone who lives life into the corners book a trip and feel for themselves the deep rewards that such a trek brings. Our special thanks and gratitude to Prem, Keshab, Raj, Robin, the team and people of Nepal we will most certainly be back. NAMASTE !

We completed the Everest Base Camp in December 2010 with Ace the Himalaya and we had an incredible time. Since with trekking trips the organization of the entire journey relies on the travel agent, choosing the right company is the single most important decision you have to make and we have to say that we were very happy with the job done by Ace. Before arriving in Nepal, and unlike some other agents we first contacted by email, we received extremely quick, extensive and unambiguous answers to all our questions from Prem K. Khatri, the director. All topics were well covered - which was an important point as we had no previous trekking experience in Nepal. The trek itself was great and we felt very lucky to have Prem Pandit as a guide. Prem was friendly and flexible, yet always gave us the space we needed. He is experienced and extremely knowledgeable about trekking, mountain and Nepali culture. With him we felt safe - we believe his advice contributed a great deal in us not getting ...

Regardless of the my health circumstances or situation, my guide from Ace was always professional and went to great efforts to ensure I was well taken care of. My guide and porter could not have been more patient, encouraging and supportive. I can't describe only one memorable part of my trek, as the entire trek itself was a wonderful experience! The views were spectacular and the chance to meet and chat with other trekkers in the evenings at the guest houses was always provided great conversation and learning experiences! Even though I did not reach Base Camp (due to my own physical limitations) I still had a fantastic experience that changed my life! Thank you Ace for making it a safe and wondertful experience!

We had a fantastic time in Nepal. It's hard to believe so much was crammmed into a couple of weeks. The trek was amazing.. awe inspiring.. beautiful.. and above all challenging! It was my first ever trek & first time at altitude and despite thinking it was going to be a walk in the park the first few days I quickly learned how challening altitude can be! Our guide and porter did a fantastic job and Gyanu was never more than a stone's through away & made sure we were ok every step of the way. This was a huge part of making our trip that much more enjoyable so many thanks to Gyanu & Santos! Some of our photos are on http://picasaweb.google.com/dave.reaburn/TrekkingInNepal#

We were first attracted to Ace via their very professional web-site - our first impressions proved correct and we found Ace and their staff to be extremely friendly, helpful and professional. Once we arrived in Kathmandu we realised that there are hundreds of small tour operators and it would be difficult to separate the good from the dubious ones. I would strongly suggest that prospective travellers confirm their tour operator prior to arrival in Nepal, this will allow you to assess the company that you are dealing with via their web-site and an exchange of e-mails which should confirm the standing of the tour company, this will spare you from dealing with touts and dubious operators. One of our party had to be lifted off the mountain near Everest base camp by helicopter, this operation was very smoothly arranged by Ace, as this is a very expensive operation it can only be carried out quickly and effectively by a tour operator of significant standing in the area - your life could be en...
