Sustrans is the UK sustainable transport charity, responsible for the 12 000 mile national cycle network. Their website is a great place to go for UK cycle resources and route planning.

The CTC (UK Cycle Touring Club) has an excellent set of maps and 1000s of route sheets available to anyone planning a longer touring journey. These guys have covered the 4 corners of the world and are happy to share their experience.

Warmshowers is a site for reciprocal hospitality for touring cyclists around the world.

Bicycletouringpro and the Adventure Cycling Guide are both very extensive blog sites where you will find pretty much everything you need to know to help inspire, plan and equip yourself for a cycle touring adventure.
