Maison La Cerisaie

This beautiful, owner-managed, newly renovated stone farmhouse and luxury ski chalet in Sixt Fer à Cheval is the best kept secret in the Grand Massif, France’s fourth largest linked ski area

Maison La Cerisaie is a beautiful Alpine stone farmhouse offering half-board accommodation, self-catering and bed and breakfast year round. It operates as a fully catered ski chalet in the winter season and can also be reserved on a self-catering basis. Built in 1830, it has been modernised and upgraded by Sally-Anne and Simon Airey, who bought it as their home in 2011.

The house nestles among rugged mountains and stunning scenery in a tranquil, authentic Alpine location at the heart of Salvagny, one of the hamlets which make up the ancient village of Sixt Fer à Cheval in the Grand Massif, Haute Savoie. Recognised officially as one of “Les Plus Beaux Villages de France” (The Most Beautiful Villages of France), Sixt is under 10 minutes by car from the resort of Samoens and 75 minutes from Geneva airport.

British by birth, multilingual and international in outlook, we’ve travelled widely and lived and worked in some fascinating places, most recently in Russia. Moving to the French Alps and renovating Maison la Cerisaie has enabled us to realise our dream of living in a beautiful, inspiring place. We love sharing all this with our guests.
