NOMAD Sea Kayaking

Sea kayaking the east and south coasts of England, UK

We are a small family run business based in Suffolk offering professionally guided kayaking trips and related training courses from beginner to advanced levels. We are a ‘not for profit’ Limited Company registered in England, United Kingdom, founded in April 2005 with over thirteen years of trading experience. We are the only company with our own fleets of kayaks and trailers and full time professional Guides based in our area of operations. We do what we do because we love the outdoors and we want to get as many people out in our beautiful environment as possible from kayaking and wild camping to long distance trekking and day hikes and bush craft skills. We carry out organised beach clean events in our area of operations putting back into the environment we use by collecting and surveying refuse washed up on our beaches for the Suffolk AONB and Marine Conservation Society.

Kurt Finch

I have been the Operations Director of NOMAD Sea Kayaking for the past thirteen years. I have a military background having served in an operational unit for seven years in Africa. In 2004 I made the move to set up my own commercial operation offering outdoor leisure activities as a ‘not for profit’ operation. I’m currently a full time professional sea kayak Guide splitting my time between my business operations, environmental work and volunteering for local environmental charities.

I have paddled all of my life with my formal qualifications beginning in 2005 and twelve years of full time Guiding experience under my belt. I am BCU and ISKGA trained and qualified as are all of our Guides. We employ a Sales and Marketing Manager, team support in the office and five freelance Guides.
