Kayak the Abel Tasman National Park

Everything you'll need for a mini-adventure kayaking through New Zealand’s most colourful coastal park.

What to expect

Abel Tasman National Park is New Zealand’s smallest park, and also one of the most beautiful and diverse. Encompassing a wild stretch of coastline on the northern tip of the South Island, this place is made for a few days kayaking, camping and switching off from the world.

The crystal clear water and crunchy golden sand might make you think you're in the tropics, and the park has some of the best weather in New Zealand. If you're a wildlife junkie, you're in luck. You'll hear and see bellbirds, shags, gannets, little blue penguins and fur seals.
