The Food

Your hosts put a special emphasis on food. Proper skiing requires proper food, and that’s exactly what you’ll get.

First, you’ll receive a cup of tea or coffee to your room.

For breakfast, you can expect croissants, traditional French bread, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, fresh coffee and juice, and a daily hot option.

For afternoon tea, there’ll be home-baked cake and biscuits with hot chocolate, tea & coffee.

Before dinner, there’ll be homemade canapés and nibbles served with pre-dinner drinks.

For dinner, there’ll be a 4-course meal including a cheeseboard, fresh coffee & chocolates. Here’s a sample menu so you know what standard to expect:

  • Twice baked Beaufort cheese souffle with a walnut and herb salad for starter
  • Roasted duck breast with potato and leek gratin, wilted spinach, roasted carrots served with a redcurrant glaze for main
  • Rhubarb & vanilla bean pannacotta and almond tuile for dessert
  • This is followed by a selection of fine cheeses

Your hosts can provide a separate meal for your children, which will usually be served at 6 pm. For example, they’ll serve spaghetti bolognese & salad with a baked chocolate pudding.

Chalet Layout

On the ground floor, you’ll find a twin ensuite bedroom and a double ensuite bedroom. This floor is also home to the ski and boot room, a small TV for the kids, and the staff facilities.

On the 1st floor, you’ll find the lounge area, kitchen and dining area, and a twin ensuite.

On the 2nd floor, you’ll find 2 double ensuites and a twin ensuite.

Located in the charming village of Le Raffort, the flexible private minibus service is available 8.30am to 10.30am, and 3.30pm to 7.30pm to take you back and forth to Meribel centre and the main lift station at La Chaudanne, just five minutes drive away. Alternatively, the Olympic cable car is only 200 metres walk from the chalet and provides direct access to La Chaudanne lift station.


Can you cater to all my dietary requirements?

Simply let your hosts know in advance what your requirements are, and they should be able to accommodate your needs.

What happens on the chalet day off?

Your hosts will provide you with a continental breakfast, including croissants, pain aux chocolate, cereals, ham, cheese, fruit juices and tea and coffee (fresh bread will be delivered to your chalet on staff day off). They will also lay out afternoon tea. In the evening, you can have a chance to trial a local restaurant. Your hosts can help with the booking of this.

Do you offer childcare?

Your hosts do not offer childcare within the chalets or within the catered packages, however, your hosts have fostered relationships with trusted nannies in the resort. They have contact details and can recommend these to you.

What happens if I miss the morning or evening shuttle bus?

The Olympic cable car is only a 200-meter walk from the chalet and provides direct access to La Chaudanne lift station. For able skiers and snowboarders, a red piste leads down to Le Raffort so it is possible to ski or board to within a short walk to the chalet.
