Hidden Alps’ Ferme Blanche is a charming ski retreat for up to 12 people in a mountain hamlet just below Montalbert, La Plagne. Stylishly renovated, the ski chalet has an outdoor sauna and lots of rustic alpine charm, including stone floors, original timbers, and stone walls nearly a metre thick in places. The chalet is surrounded by meadows and forest, with breathtaking views across the mountain tops. You can ski-in on an off-piste track when conditions allow.

The Food

The Hidden Alp’s food philosophy is very much about tasty cooking with a conscience. All meals use good quality, ethically sourced ingredients where possible, including: organic, free range or local red meat; free range chicken and eggs; local cheeses; and bottled wines from small regional producers.

Your Hosts

Sam and Alvaro are an English-Spanish couple who first ventured to the Paradiski in 2002 to run a ski chalet together. They fell in love with the mountains and never left. These days they’re based year-round in the mountains and offer relaxing ski breaks.


Chalet Layout

Inside this chalet there’s a large sitting room with comfy sofas, a log stove and garden views. There’s also a dining room, a library area, ski storage and an enclosed garden with deck and outdoor log-fired sauna (supplement).

The chalet’s 5 bedrooms are arranged as follows:

  • Montagnette: spacious double / twin room with mountain views, sitting area and Juliette balcony, free standing bath and en-suite shower room.
  • Pantoufle: twin / double room with tongue-and-groove panelling, window seat with mountain views, wood floors and en-suite shower room
  • Grange: family room (double/twin beds and bunks) with en-suite shower room, wood floors and balcony
  • Studio: triple (single + bunks) with shower and WC across the hall
  • Cabin: pull down double bed (WC along the hall)

Situated in a tiny unspoilt mountain hamlet (1100m) just a short 5 minute drive from the lifts in Montalbert on the La Plagne side of Paradiski. We run a shuttle service for catered guests.

Simply let your hosts know in advance what your dietary requirements are, and they will be more than happy to accommodate you.

What should we do for dinner on the chalet day off?

There are plenty of good local restaurants for you to sample. Your hosts are more than happy to recommend the best local restaurants, and help you with any bookings you need to make.

What transfers are included?

There is courtesy shuttle service to the lifts and back running at set times morning and afternoon. During the day. there’s an “on-demand” cover service to bring you back early if needed. The pick up points are close to a bar too, so depending on the time, you can keep warm and have a drink while waiting. In the evenings, they can lay on extra runs for groups if you want to sample the après-ski before or after dinner (subject to prior agreement, extra charges may apply).
