The Food

Your breakfast will consist of a hot option and a continental option. Your continental breakfast will include fresh French bread and croissants, yoghurts, cereals, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, and juices.

Your hot option changes daily, but some favourites with the guests are the home-made pancakes, scrambled eggs with bacon bits and fried egg served with mushrooms and grilled tomatoes.

For afternoon tea, you can expect bread, butter, jam, tea, coffee and a freshly baked cake or tart.

In the evening, you can expect a 4-course meal, with canapés and cocktails beforehand.

The menu changes daily, but the style is simple, excellent home cooking made from fresh, local ingredients.

Here’s a sample menu:

  • Asparagus and parmesan risotto for your starter
  • Roast duck in a berry sauce with creamy potato gratin and sweet red cabbage green beans for your main
  • Crème brulée for dessert
  • A Tomme de Savoie cheese board

Your hosts serve a choice of carefully selected French red and white bottled wines to accompany the evening meal.

This chalet is located above the alpine village of Les Coches in the heart of the Paradiski area. That being said, there’s a courtesy bus service in the mornings and afternoons, so your walking time should be limited.

It is ski-in-ski-out and just one lift away from the world famous Vanoise Express linking La Plagne and Les Arcs.

Do you provide a separate children's meal?

In the evening, your hosts offer an earlier kid’s tea free of charge on request. If your child has an allergy, dislikes certain foods or has particular favourites please let your hosts know and they will do their best to build a menu around this.

What child-care options do you provide?

For childcare, your hosts recommend a company called Snow little who provide flexible chalet-based childcare. You can choose to book hourly, daily or weekly, either for full or half days. They can also offer evening babysitting on request.

Activities include picnics, snowman-building, sledging, trips to the park, treasure hunts, painting and drawing, hide and seek, making play dough, camps and dens and adventure walks in the snow.

Where can I eat on the chalet night off?

There are many fine restaurants serving excellent food. If you ask your host, they will be happy to suggest and book one for you. If you are travelling on a peak week, or as part of a large group, and would like a booking made before you arrive in resort, please just give your hosts a call.

Is the complimentary bar really unlimited?

Your hosts offer beer, wine and soft drinks in the complimentary bar which you can help yourselves to during the holiday. They don’t limit this on a per person basis and within reason, you can help yourselves as and when you want. However, the complimentary bar may be restricted at your host’s discretion in certain cases due to excessive drunkenness, damage to the chalet or the property, or underage drinking.

What times does the courtesy bus run until?

The service is available from 8.00am to 10.00am, and 4.00pm and 5.00pm from Monday to Saturday. It is free of charge, please just book your space with your hosts when you arrive in resort.
