The Food

Every meal you eat at this catered chalet has been carefully planned by Head Chef Marcus Cull, who’s style is creative and hearty.

Breakfast includes fresh bread and pastries, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, juices, tea and coffee and a daily changing hot option cooked to order.

Afternoon tea is a mixture of freshly baked cakes, fruit, tea, coffee and mulled wine.

Dinner is a 5 course affair with menus tailored towards the tastes and requirements of your group. You can expect a selection of fine wines to accompany your meal.

This lovely chalet is run by a small, family businesses who are based in the resort and offer a personal service from start to finish. They operate solely in Vaujany because they are passionate about the resort and the local area and they’re happy to offer tips and recommendations to help you make the most of your holiday.

Located on the forth floor of a modern residence, the building contains a games room, sauna, heated boot and locker room, and there’s even a washer and dryer in the basement.

In the apartment entrance hall there’s a handy WC as well as access to 2 twin bedrooms, which share both a shower room and full bathroom.

The open plan lounge, dining and kitchen space is the perfect place to relax after a hard day on the mountain and you can also access the wrap-around balcony to enjoy the stunning views.

A further 2 bedrooms comprise of a twin and double bedroom and there’s a further 2 shared bathrooms.

Vaujany really is different because it’s a village before it’s a resort. There is a strong sense of community and village spirit. This gives it a truly friendly atmosphere. It’s safe, small and full of friendly faces making it ideal for family skiing holidays.

What else is there to do in this resort?

Vaujany has stunning forest Raquettes walks (aka snow-shoeing). There is also paragliding, husky dog sledging in Alpe d’Huez, ski touring and walking, bowling, ice skating not to mention relaxing in the Leisure centres and spa facilities.

Is the resort snow-sure?

Yes it is. The resort benefits from the Pic Blanc glacier at 3300m and is also open during the summer! The Ski Club of Great Britain’s Historical Snow Report shows Vaujany having an average minimum of 82cm and maximum of 300cm throughout the whole season.

Where is the closest airport?

Grenoble is the closest airport to the Southern side of the French Alps. It is about 90 minutes transfer by coach and even quicker by car.
