The Hosts

Your hosts see their guests coming back to this alpine home year after year. The chalet company is run by a pair of brothers, Luke and Dom. Luke has trained as a development chef for Fortnum and Mason, so there’s a huge emphasis on great food at this chalet.

They are passionate about serving nothing but very, very good food. The food is gourmet and comes in substantial sizes.

Chalet George is just 240 metres from the lifts and 100 metres from the village centre.

There is a taxi service operating in Morzine, but it shouldn’t be necessary due to this chalet’s proximity to the lifts and the town centre.

This chalet is not quite ski-in-ski-out, but it’s pretty close.

This is arguably one of the best locations in Morzine, so it’s best to book early to avoid disappointment.

Can my dietary requirements be catered for?

Yes! Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and dairy free can all be catered for. If given notice they are happy within reason to adapt their menus to your specific tastes and dietary requests but please do bear in mind that chalets are mostly private houses and do not have vast kitchens or teams of chefs to cope with cooking separate meals for everyone.

Do you do separate children’s meals?

Your hosts can provide a child-friendly supper with two courses of home cooked and nutritious food. Your hosts will have a chat with you about your children’s diet to find out what they like and what they don’t like. They will usually offer the same menu as the parents but simplified and with no strong flavours.

What happens on the chalet day off?

Chalet staff will have a well earned day off during your stay, usually Wednesday. On this day, breakfast and afternoon tea will be laid out for you to help yourself and you are free to sample one of the local restaurants in the evening. Staff will be pleased to help with recommendations and bookings.
