F.A.Q.

How fit do I need to be?

You should be comfortable riding back to back days and longer rides of 3h+ duration. There will be route options each day with an easier and harder ride out and a mixture of hard hilly routes and easier cafe spins over the week. There is also the option of our extensive route library in electronic format to put on you GPS or route cards are available if you prefer to go solo occasionally! If you’re unsure please get in touch and I can answer any questions you may have.

How big are the groups?

Each week will have a maximum of 15 riders for a personal experience. There will be two experienced coaches/ride leaders so we can split into separate smaller groups if needed.

Can I come on my own?

Yes! There is the option of a single room at a supplementary rate or we may be able to pair you with another solo traveller to keep the costs down. Either way you will make friends fast!

I want to organise a trip for a group or a club, can you cater for this?

Yes! Just get in touch and as long as the dates are free this is no problem. In the past we have organised trips for University clubs and this year a group of friends will be returning for the second year of their customised trip.

Can I hire a bike?

We don’t hire bikes but there are local companies that do and we can arrange this at a discounted rate for our customers.

What is the weather like?

Normally the weather is warm and pleasant at this time of year, with maximal daily temperatures around 20-22 degrees Celsius, however there may be colder days at this time of year although rain is rare. It is more likely to have a warmer week with temperatures over 25 degrees Celsius. We are around 100 miles from the coast of Africa, so early in the year we enjoy some of the best weather in Europe

What are the roads like?

This area is cycling heaven! Perfectly smooth roads and very low traffic levels compared to other popular training destinations, you can forget the roads are open to carts sometimes! The area also boasts some of the best weather in Europe being just 100 miles from the coast of Africa as the crow flies.

What's the food like?

Your trip includes a 3 course meal with wine included in the evening, tailored to your needs after a day in the saddle. Breakfast is taken in the hotel bar and is a generous Spanish style breakfast including freshly squeezed orange juice that you will have ridden past hanging on the trees the day before and fresh coffee.

What flights shall I book?

Flights are not included in the price but we offer a transfer service from Malaga Airport which is well serviced from most UK airports. Transfer times are planned to meet the majority of flights and maximise your ride time so please contact us before booking to confirm the best flight options!
