The 2016 Etape du Tour will take place on a spectacular course from Megeve to Morzine. Spend a long weekend - from 8th to 11th July - in a superb chalet close to Morzine. You will enjoy great food and hospitality in a very relaxing environment.

The Schedule

Friday July 8th

  • Collection from Geneva Airport and transfer to Morzine (approx. 1 hour 20 mins). Time to make up bikes and even some riding for those that arrive earlier. Briefing followed by dinner.

Saturday July 9th

  • After a hearty breakfast, transfer to Megeve (50 mins) to collect your race numbers and to enjoy some time at the start village. Return to Morzine mid afternoon to give riders plenty of time to relax before dinner.

Sunday July 10th

  • An early start as riders are taken to the start of the event in Megeve (anticipated start time of 7am). Then it’s all up to you! 145kms over 4 iconic climbs will take you to the finish line in Morzine. With the chalet being a short ride from the finish there will be plenty of opportunity to relax, celebrate and reflect on the day’s achievements.

Monday July 11th

  • Return to Geneva with a view to boarding flights from 12 noon onwards.

  • Transfers to and from Megeve for the start village on Saturday and the event start on Sunday morning.

  • Entry for the Etape du Tour is the rider’s responsibility and is done directly on the Etape website. The Etape is a tough but achievable challenge for most bike riders; please contact us if you want an honest opinion as to whether the Etape is a realistic goal for you.

  • Flights Please let us know flight times before you book them so that we can confirm transfers to and from the airport without excessive delays.
