Created in 1903, the Tour de France is the most prestigious cycling race in the world; held over 3 weeks with a peleton of 200 riders, the gruelling course tackles some of the highest mountains in Europe. The Tour de France Experience 2017 will give you the opportunity to watch this iconic race first-hand, as well as ride some of the very same climbs.

The package enables you to visit the three Alpine mountain stages* (TBC) before the race heads to Paris. Not only will you get to witness your heroes fighting it out for the leaders yellow jersey but you will get to ride some of the most iconic climbs associated with this great race. The routes have been designed to showcase the outstanding natural beauty of the French Alps - breathtaking views are guaranteed!

Your Tour de France viewing experience will be taken to another level by riding the major climbs just before the peloton arrives. If you have ever imagined what it must feel like to be cheered on by thousands of cycling mad supporters as you ride up a climb then here is your chance. On the days not viewing the race you will get to ride some of the legendary climbs that have featured many times in the past, such as Alpe D’Huez, Col de Petit Saint Bernard and Lacets de Montvernier to name just a few.

Fully Supported Rides

All your rides will be fully supported leaving you free to focus on what’s most important - pedalling. Each day you will be accompanied on the road by knowledgeable guides who will be there to offer advice, encouragement and help with any minor mechanical problems. There will also be a support vehicle offering nutritional and mechanical support that will meet you at pre-arranged stops along the route. The support vehicle will carry energy bars, fresh water and energy drinks to keep your performance levels up. It will also carry any warm or wet weather clothing should you need it during your ride.

So if you have a good level of fitness and are looking to watch some great racing whilst spending a week riding in breathtaking scenery, then make the Tour de France Experience 2017 your cycling holiday this summer.
