La Grand Bô

The 18th edition of this popular cyclosportive will take place on Sunday June 26th, starting and finishing in Le Grand Bornand. There are usually about 600 participants. We highly recommend this excellent sportive, which takes in some magnificent scenery and is great fun.

La Grand Boô Route and Profile

The route will be the same as in previous years, making the tour of the northern half of the Aravis. There are three choices:

  • Short - 100 km with 1500 m vertical, passing by the Col de la Croix Fry, the Col des Fleuries and the Gorges du Borne.
  • Medium – 123 km with 3000 m vertical, passing by the Col de la Croix Fry, the Col des Fleuries, the Mont Saxonnex and then the Col de la Colombière.
  • Long – 135 km with 3400 m vertical, passing by the Col de la Croix Fry, the Col des Fleuries, the Mont Saxonnex, the challenging Col de Romme and finally the Col de la Colombière.

The route is well designed so that if you miss the time cut-offs you simple keep going on the shorter distance.

Hotel Beauregard 4*

Your luxury Alpine home away from home

We loved the Beauregard at first sight. Our guests stay here in June and September each year. Our flagship partner hotel is a charming chalet on the edge of the village of La Clusaz. Built in traditional Alpine wood and stone and tastefully decorated throughout, it is set on a slight rise and nestled in a copse of trees, giving it a secluded and exclusive feel. This is a great place to be on holiday!

Helpful staff

The staff are lovely people, warm and welcoming, and thoroughly understand the needs of cyclists. The “Symphonie” restaurant is a real high point, offering excellent food that is great for hungry cyclists. The chef is very flexible and is always ready to cater to specific needs and requests. He also knows how important it is to start the day with an excellent breakfast!

The terrace

The terrace is THE place for evening cocktails in La Clusaz, with breathtaking views to the forested slopes of Beauregard on the other side of the valley. Many of the recently-refurbished rooms enjoy this view from their private balconies. Luxurious and comfortable, they provide an excellent night’s sleep after a day on the cols.

Pool and mini-spa

Swim in the pool or relax in the sauna, hammam or Jacuzzi: all perfect for soothing away the aches and pains of a hard day’s ride. As at its sister hotel Alpen Roc, access to all facilities, as well as free Wi-Fi, is included in your stay.

The top hotel in La Clusaz

For us, the 4* Beauregard is the top hotel in La Clusaz. After a week here with us, we are sure you will understand why.
