Velocamps run the only fully supported trip to this great event and had a 75% completion rate last season, mainly because of this.

You have the choice of riding solo or as part of 2 person tag team, staying 3 nights in our gorgeous little 4 star chalet hotel in the French Alpes. The whole event is ridden as best as possible in small ‘grupettos’, to share the workload. The organisers pitch the event as a ‘Randonnee’, more akin to ‘expeditionary’ riding than a normal sportive, with unsupported riders often having to resort to carrying rucsacs. This is why we escort you along the full route.

With Velocamps preparation and support is everything to complete this event, provided by our close support team cars, supplying hot and cold food as needed, regular clothing changes and mechanical support. . With good endurance training, bike set-up and sensible pacing you should make the various checkpoints on schedule and wear that coveted TDMB ride-shirt with pride and put other Sportives in the shade!

The start and finish will be in Les Saisies, near Megeve in the French Alpes, and we will circumnavigate Mont Blanc clockwise via Switzerland and Italy. It is a low key but well organised event from the people who run the Marmotte, with around 300-350 riders entering each year.

Blastoff is at 0500 am on Saturday, July 16th, 2016, with the first 20mins requiring lights to descend the first Alpe.

Includes: private transfers from/to Geneva, entry, the coveted ‘White’ event ride shirt (only to be worn on completion!), finisher pack, 3 days accommodation in a good quality local 4 star chalet hotel and spa in a pretty Alpine village, a pre-race meal on the Friday day night and late finishing meal, all ride nutrition and a support vehicle for every 6 riders!!
