The food

Eddie Tuffin will be your in-house Chef during your stay, and when he is not in the kitchen lovingly preparing your evening meal he can be found either hanging from a rock face or hurtling down a mountainside on his bike or skis. Eddie’s concept is simple, everything is prepared from scratch using only locally sourced ingredients where possible. He is constantly adjusting his menu according to the seasonal availability of local produce. He loves nothing more than tending our vegetable garden or foraging in the woods for wild herbs and plants to accompany his dishes.

All dietary needs can be catered for, but we do ask our guests to kindly notify us at the time of booking of any specific requirements needed and although all of our dishes are cooked to the same high standard we do understand that our younger guests may prefer a simplified version of our menu.

Your hosts

Company founded by James Dealtry who, along with an unquenchable thirst for the great outdoors and passion for the mountains, has nearly 20 years of experience in guiding and teaching groups in the mountains in both summer and winter.

James is a fully qualified French mountain guide and ski instructor - one of the few foreigners to achieve this status. He has lived and worked for fifteen years in Val d’Isere in the French Alps and was the first Brit to work for the Ecole du Ski Français before relocating to the Pyrenees.

Thanks to his time spent in the Alps, James has learned to speak fluent French and gathered extensive experience in dealing with clients ranging from young families to high-end corporate hospitality. He has worked closely with luxury hotels and chalets. Full of enthusiasm for all the region has to offer, motivating, energetic and yet easy-going, he has an instinctive understanding of clients’ needs on and off the mountain. With attention to detail that is second to none, you can rest assured that every element of your holiday will be taken care of to a very high standard, and with a sense of fun.
