The following are some of the nearby climbs and cols.

Col de la Madeleine The Col de la Madeleine featured in the 2012 Tour de France, the 24th time it has appeared on the tour. It climbs up from La Lechere to a height of 2000m over a distance of 26km.

Cormet de Roselend The Cormet de Roselend is another classic alpine pass, connecting Bourg St Maurice in the Tarentaise Valley with Beaufort in the Beaufortain Valley. The col is a steady climb up to 1968 metres.

Col du Petit St Bernard The Col du Petit St Bernard passes from Bourg St Maurice in France to Pre St Didier on the Italian side. From Bourg it is a long climb at around 28kms but with an average gradient of less than 5%

Courchevel The Courchevel valley is next to the valley des allues(Meribel valley) so easily accessible from the chalet. The climb from Carrey is 17km long and finishes at the Courchevel Altiport at 1900m.

Col des Saisies The Col des Saisies links Beaufort with Flumet in the Val d’Arly. The road from the Beaufort side is 15kms and climbs up to the Les Saisies ski resort at 1650m.

Col d’Aravis The Col des Aravis has featured in the Tour de France 39 times. The col is at 1468m, climbing up on the South side from Flumet and from Thones or La Clusaz on the other side.

Col du Glandon The Col du Glandon is 1924m and another of the high cols that closes in the Winter. The climb for us begins in the Maurienne Valley and is 21km long. For most of the climb it is quite steady, there is a flat 2km section in the middle and the last 3kms are tough averaging 10% and more.
