Pulling off the road there is ample parking and plenty of space outside to enjoy. Grass terraces, a large wildlife pond and seating areas will tempt you outside when the sun is shining.

As this is our home we are always here to be of assistance; to help you with anything on arrival or throughout your stay.

We feel the ‘wow’ factor does not diminish once you step inside. There is a large lounge and dining room where our guests are sure to be comfortable and are able to look through the grand windows at the spectacular views. These rooms have high ceilings with their original wooden beams and are linked by an impressive archway.

There is a sun room which is a little bit of ‘outside, inside’, and this leads onto the balcony, where guests can relax and once more take in the view over Bagneres-de-Bigorre to the mountains opposite. Steps then lead down to a patio area.

An impressive wooden staircase takes you upstairs to our 3 wonderfully comfortable guest rooms.

Monné is a comfortable, spacious room for up to two adults. The room has a stunning south facing view across the valley towards the Pic du Midi and the local mountains of the Pyrenean chain.

Monné comprises of a double or 2 single beds. Guests in this room have access to a shared bathroom with WC, washbasin and combined shower and bath.

Midi can be a room for up to 4 people. It has a main double (or twin) room from which you can access a sunroom where 2 further beds are available. This suite has a separate shower room with WC. There is a large washbasin in the main double room. Like all of our rooms, you can access the internet via Wi-Fi and you will find the room equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer.

With the Tour De France visiting Bagneres-de-Bigorre many times, and being a stage finish in 2013, road cycling in the region is a very popular activity. Cyclists are well respected and given both room on the road and encouragement along the way! There are many fantastic climbs within cycling distance of the house. Col du Tourmalet being the most famous and a 5 star climb. There is also Col d’Aspin, Aubisque, Hautacam and Peyresourde all within range; and lots of lesser know Cols too. For a gentler approach, or for some acclimatisation, there are also plenty of smaller but no less spectacular routes and also roads from the house that offer amazing views and that dip and undulate rather than heading ever upwards!

Here at Hi Pyrenees we are very fortunate not only to have a road cycling base that is second to none but also to have a great network of mountain biking (VTT) routes on our doorstep. There are 5 stations or ports where routes set out from in the immediate area;

Two from Bagneres itself, one from nearby Beaudean, one from Payolle, and another from the village Montgaillard.

In total there are 22 routes covering over 362km The routes are graded to make it easier for riders to choose the right one.

3 green routes = very easy, with wide tracks, with less than 150m climbing. 10 blue routes = not difficult but with some harder parts, with less than 300m climbing. 5 red routes = difficult both physically and technically with less than 450m of climbing. 4 black routes very difficult with the need to be experienced.

The routes are easy to follow with way marked signs all numbered.

We are keen to keep our customers updated with what is happening in the area as this might be of great interest and influence when people visit, it will be hard to resist the pull of seeing the Tour De France go through Bagneres- de- Bigorre on stage 11 of the Tour De France on the 15th July 2015. It also passes close by on stage 10 and stage 12. A great opportunity to spend the time with us as your base.
