Location

Almeria is the sunniest province of Spain. We enjoy over 3,000 hours of sun and 320 days of sunshine each year. Winter is practically non-existent and is mostly spring like, although nights can be cold.

Almeria also boasts 130 kilometers of quiet coastline, undisturbed beaches and tiny-whitewashed villages, set amongst beautiful mountain scenery.

The wonderful wild areas of the natural parks, rugged protected coastline such as in the Cabo de Gata offer plenty of space to relax and wind down in perfect quiet.

Houses clinging to the bare rock, steep narrow streets of medieval houses are all to be found in Sorbas perched high above the surrounding area. Below in the ancient riverbed you will see orchards still using the original Moorish irrigation system. In the charming square why not enjoy a drink or tapas whilst watching life go by in the time honored Spanish tradition. Suitably refreshed wander down to the pottery quarter of the town, here you can see the potters creating a wide variety of attractive ceramics, still using the original Moorish methods.

Just 30 minutes drive away is the lovely hill top town and beaches of Mojacar, If you feel like a day sampling the more usual resort pursuits then these are for you, still refreshingly uncrowded although August is the busiest month.
