Winter Sports

Alpine skiing

This is skiing paradise! One of the salient features of the skiing offer in the Val di Fassa Valley is the possibility of skiing every day in different areas and to take on skis on the most famous ski slopes: the Giro dei quattro Passi, or Sellaronda, the tour around the imposing Dolomiti massif, the Skitour of Emotions, the Tour of the Great War, and finally the new Skitour Panorama, that allows you to reach the basin of Ciampac from Pozza di Fassa.

From each town, each morning you can decide to take a new ski route in the heart of the Dolomiti Mountains, with breathtaking views and a clear sun, that even in winter offers days of rare beauty. Snow, sun, warmth … unlimited fun!

Cross country skiing

Thanks to the Fiemme and Fassa Marcialonga, that starts off in Moena and continues over a path that involves the valley in all its length, the Val di Fassa has developed and consolidated its own Nordic skiing tradition.

Along this prestigious track, each town has prepared paths or rings, even with the use of programmed snow, which make the entire offer attractive for fans of this sport, who can also find qualified structures for learning it. In Pozza di Fassa, the Ciancoal cross country ring is especially fun for its constant changes of pace.

This ring and a path in Fontanazzo are also lit in the evening: an opportunity to train and to spend relaxing moments in the silent darkness.

Have you ever thought of the emotion of walking in the middle of a snow whitened forest, wearing snowshoes that lightly touch the crystals resting on the ground, barely leaving the sign of your passage?

These will be unforgettable emotions, the timeless memory of a moment of great harmony with yourself and nature, searching for traces of wild animals. It can lead to the discovery of the ancient charm of an unattended hut, where the perfumes of yesteryear will rock your relaxation.

In Val di Fassa valley, surrounded by the fantastic scenery of the Dolomiti Mountains, freestylers will find Snow Parks for all levels of difficulty. From beginners learning their first tricks to those who want to experience the most complex maneuvers, they will all find within a few kilometers four ski areas, featuring half-pipes, jumps, parabolic boarders, boarders with woops (humps), ramps and rails (with iron handrail) of different types and sizes, and always maintained in the best condition.

To access these facilities, it is advisable to bring a helmet and protections. The Val di Fassa Valley is famous for Long Walk ski routes, but there is so much you can do on the snow, for example: The towns of Campitello di Fassa and Canazei, have gained notoriety in the last few years, even abroad, as top resorts for the practice of free flight, especially hang-gliding and paragliding.

The Hotel

The Pozza di Fassa Alpine Touring Hotel is located in a panoramic, sunny and quiet location, a short distance from downtown, and it is surrounded by the beautiful Dolomiti Mountains, one of Unesco’s Heritage Sites.

The hotel offers different room settings to meet your needs, a small but well equipped gym, a relaxation center, ski storage, bike storage, an outdoor parking and a free underground garage.

The rooms

We have studied the needs of our guests for years. Based on this analysis, we have developed three types of rooms: Edelweiss, Gentian and Negritella. The rooms are ideal for couples, families and sports enthusiasts: these environments are characterized by the careful attention to the details, order and tranquility.

Almost all of the rooms include a wooden balcony, from where you can enjoy an amazing view of Pozza di Fassa and the Dolomiti Mountains that surround it: Sassolungo, Sella, Buffaure and Cima Dodici.

  • Gentian room - It does not feature a balcony and it has a view facing Vigo di Fassa.
  • Negritella room - With a balcony, it is located on the northwest side, towards Vigo di Fassa.
  • Edelweiss - Our best proposal, it has a balcony with panoramic views of Pozza di Fassa, Sassolungo, Sella, Giumela, Buffaure and Cima Dodici.

On the 3rd floor we have created 4 attic rooms, 2 “Negritella” and 2 “Edelweiss.”

The Pozza di Fassa Alpine Touring Hotel is located in a quiet location, a short distance from downtown.
