Because this tour requires significant transfers between cycling areas, for your comfort we will be travelling in a 21 seater luxury coach fitted with aircraft style seats, video screen etc. On the daily rides our support minibuses continually leap-frog the group with iced water, energy gels, bars, bananas, spare kit etc., and are on hand to assist with mechanical issues as and when they occur.

We manage the group so that everyone can ride at the pace that they are comfortable with, and will regroup regularly, and always at the top of a col. We are not here to beast you, but rather to encourage you, and share in the challenge and triumph of the conquest. We dine together every evening to celebrate the latest victories and share the stories of the day.

Transfers to/from airports and from area to area

Due to its itinerary, this tour involves some significant transfers: the Italian Alps and the Pyrenees are some 1300km apart. For your comfort these journeys will be in a luxury mini-coach with its own dedicated professional driver. The vehicle is equipped with aircraft style seats, video screen and is of course fully air conditioned. We hope to entertain you with some cycling appropriate films and video clips during these transfers.

Support vehicles

All our tours include the provision of a support minibus and sometimes a second vehicle too. The vehicles hold supplies of chilled, fresh drinking water and an extensive selection of energy powders, gels, bars, dried & fresh fruit, salty nuts and even good old Haribo for that sugar hit. These goodies are all freely available for you to consume at any time during the ride.

The vehicles also carry basic bike maintenance kit as well as a track pump and stocks of tyres and inner tubes. Should you suffer a mechanical issue our team will be happy to assist with any on the road repairs and there’s usually a spare bike on board if all else fails. The support vehicles continually leap frog the ride so it’s easy for you to hitch a lift should you choose not to cycle for a while. Additionally, our vehicles are equipped with appropriate first aid kits in the unlikely event of an incident.

Maximum group size

For this tour we limit places to a maximum of 15 cycling guests and 4 noncycling partners whilst operating a guest to client ratio of not more than 4 to 1.
