Day 1 - Montebelluna

Meet at the Treviso train station and private transfer to our hotel in Montebelluna. In the afternoon we make a ‘warm up’ ride to Villa Barbara (Unesco World Heritage site), a masters work of Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio and richly decorated with frescoes by Paolo Veronese. On the way back we drop in for a frothy cappuccino on a sunny terrace where we can practice our Italian with the locals. In the evening we gather for a welcome drink and dinner.

Day 2 & 3 - Follina

Today we pedal through the rolling hills of the Montello, a nature reserve situated along the Piave river home to abundant bird life, and will see the astounding sight of the Alps in the background. Over quiet roads swerving through the lovely Venetian countryside we reach our elegant hotel in the charming little town of Follina. At night we have a short transfer to our favorite family-run trattoria where we will feast on local delicatessen. The next day we cycle through the rolling vineyards of the Valdobbiadene and make a stop at a cantina for a tasting of delicious Prosecco wine. In Follina we visit the 12th-century Cistercian Abbey with an impressive combination of Gothic and Romanesque architecture. In the evening we have dinner at the hotel’s bistro.

Day 4 & 5 - Asolo

Rolling up and down the foothills of the Dolomites we ride to the town of Bassano del Grappa, famous for its ancient wooden bridge Ponte Degli Alpini. We make a stroll around the historic center and visit the ornate brass distillery at the grappa museum of Jacopo Poli. Back on our bikes we continue our ride to beautiful Asolo, knowns as the ‘town of a hundred horizons’ thanks to its inspiring hilltop location. At dinner time we walk over to a fine local restaurant. The next day after breakfast we make a loop in the verdant surrounding valleys and stop at a local bike shop where you can pick up your favorite team jersey. In the afternoon there’s time to relax and savor a cocktail in the quiet of the hotel garden or enjoy the quaint markets and boutique shopping in Asolo. Evening at leisure.

Day 6 & 7 - Venice

In the morning we transfer to the small town of Dolo, once a summer retreat for the leisure class of Venice. From here we begin our ride through the surrounding farmlands and along the Riviera del Brenta, graced with many elegant villas and architectural icons like the splendid Villa Malcontenta, another masterpiece by Palladio. We then sit down for a picnic lunch and afterward hop on the ferry to sail across the Laguna Veneta to Venice where we are met by our city guide for a tour around this truly magical place. In the evening we gather at a waterside restaurant along the Gran Canal for farewell cocktails and a sumptuous seafood dinner combined with elegant wines.

Enjoy a warm welcome at charming family-run hotels and the region’s best restaurants.

The Veneto, one of the places we will visit, is situated in the north east of Italy and stretching from the rolling foothills of the Dolomites to the azure waters of the Adriatic Sea, has inspired aristocrats and artists for centuries and is sure to enchant you with all its hidden marvels.
