Friday: Arrival, surfing and tapas

Your host will meet you at the airport in Jerez. Transfer to the beach town of Conil de la Frontera where you'll enjoy lunch at a local bar.

Make your way to the beach for a 2-hour surfing lesson. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, your instructor will help you enjoy the warm waves.

Wash up at your apartment, then hit the town for a superb tapas tour.

Saturday: Mountain biking, surfing and tapas

In the morning you'll embark on a 25km mountain bike ride. Ride through the beautiful countryside then return to town via the coastal road, stopping to check out secret hidden coves along the way.

Enjoy lunch at a traditional Andalucian restaurant, then head to the beach for another 2-hour surfing lesson. You should really be getting the hang of it now!

Finish the day with a different--but equally delicious--tapas tour.

Sunday: Departure

Transfer to Jerez airport in time to catch a morning flight home.

Note: This itinerary and the duration of the activities are subject to change due to group abilities and preferences, weather conditions and forecasts, special events, etc.

Please Note

All our adventures take place in wild places. Things can go wrong in wild places. Your perfectly planned itinerary may change a bit (or a lot) if the weather turns, someone gets hurt, or a volcano erupts. Usually though, changes make it all the better.

You will stay at a brand new self-catered apartment in a quiet, urban neighbourhood of Conil de la Frontera. The apartment is clean and comfortable, and offers beach access by foot. It has a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room, and patio.

Conil is a small, lively beach town south of Cadiz. It has a permanent local population of around 25,000 people, which swells in the summer. Conil has a great atmosphere with plenty of tapas bars and excellent nightlife. During summer the street cafes are busy from the afternoon well into the night. It is a scenic. friendly, well-maintained town with winding streets ideal for strolling.

Andalusian food staples include ham, fish and gazpacho. Tapas culture thrives in the region, and tapas-hopping is how you'll enjoy your dinners. Typical tapas dishes include cured ham, olives, seafood salads, fried fish, ceviche, prawns, meatballs and potato tortillas.

Most Andalusian dishes are based around fish and meat, though mushrooms, olives and tortillas are equally common. Vegetarian and vegan diets may be difficult to accommodate.

This trip is designed to be entry level and you do not need any previous surfing or cycling experience. You will just need to be a competent swimmer and have a basic level of fitness for the cycling.
