This chalet is perfect for larger groups of up to 14 people, or for smaller groups who enjoy sharing their mountain holiday experience with other like-minded individuals. It’s modern and bright throughout, while out on the terrace you’ll find a well-appointed hot tub. You’re also just 500 metres from the super-quick Prodains Express cable car, which offers speedy access into the Portes du Soleil.

The Food

You can expect yummy dishes, prepared by chefs with a real passion for food. Breakfast includes a buffet of fresh bread, freshly baked pasties, a selection of cereals, juices, fruit and yoghurts in addition to a cooked option each day such as scrambled eggs on muffins, or waffles with berries and syrup.

Upon your return from a day on the slopes, your hosts will serve a delicious homemade cake or biscuits along with tea, coffee or hot chocolate.

A 4 course meal is served on 6 nights of your stay, including a starter, main course and dessert, all with accompanying wines. You’ll also enjoy tea, coffee and chocolates after your meal.

Jon and Liz have been operating in Morzine for over 13 years and they have a real passion for the local area. Pick their brains when it comes to planning your daily ski route, your lunch stops and your apres parties!


Slate Valley Lodge is a large, warm and welcoming catered chalet with an outdoor hot tub, seven comfortable ensuite bedrooms and a fantastic lounge dining area with amazing views and an open log-fire. It’s a wonderful space for chilling out re-living the day’s exploits on the mountain and making plans for the next day’s adventures.

Chalet lay-out: Slate Valley Lodge is laid out over three floors. The ground floor has heated ski and boot storage…a brilliant place for leaving any wet gear/boots ensuring they are toasty warm come morning. It also includes five en-suite bedrooms and a small games room.

Two further en-suite bedrooms are provided on the first floor as well as the open plan lounge-kitchen-dining area.This great, social space has floor to ceiling windows, providing loads of natural light.

The third floor contains our separate chalet host apartment…ensuring hosts are on-hand to help you enjoy every aspect of your holiday with us.


With the Prodains Express lift and a variety of bars and restaurants (including the extremely popular La Kinkerne après-ski bar!) less than a one minute drive from the chalets (500m walk to the first lift), you have the easiest access to Avoriaz, Chatel and Switzerland for a great days skiing. The ski bus stops 80m from the chalet door, but your hosts also offer slopes transfers to Prodains in their own bus from 08.30 to 10.00 in the morning and 16.00 to 18.00 in the afternoon.

Staying in a chalet near the Avoriaz lift means you can access the heart of the high altitude skiing with ease. At the end of your day on the mountain, you can ski back to within 500m of the chalet and enjoy some lively après! The chalets themselves are in a peaceful area situated at an altitude of around 1200m in beautiful surroundings, while the optional extra of a pre-arranged cab service in the evening makes it easy to enjoy a wider selection of night-life.


Does this chalet work for children?

Your hosts have young children of their own and they understand your needs and requirements when it comes to holidaying with little ones. They can help you plan childcare and your chef can serve children’s meals earlier in the evening if you wish.

Where is this chalet?

Les Prodains is located half way between Morzine and Avoriaz. It’s on the bus route, but your hosts will drop you at the lift station and collect you each afternoon. Les Prodains is where you’ll find the new Prodains Express cable car, which offers speedy access to Avoriaz.

Is it easy to get into Morzine in the evening?

The local free bus service runs until 9pm, or groups can book a private cab service with their hosts at a cost of €20 for up to 8 people.
