Average temperature in Borovets during the winter ranges from -3 to 4°C, but nighttime temperatures can drop well below freezing. About 60 cm of snow falls each month in the winter, making Borovets a winter wonderland. Even when it’s cold, the days are often sunny with beautiful blue skies!

Proper winter clothes are required for the activities on the ski slopes. Basic ski clothes can also be rented in an onsite ski shop (jackets and pants). For the snowshoeing trek you will need sturdy, waterproof winter boots, or at least very good 3-season boots for mountain trekking.
