There is a discount for vegetarians and we can cater for gluten-free and other special diets. Early 2 course meals are available for children if required.

Breakfast is a self-service buffet with a choice of tea, coffee or herbal tea, fresh fruit, bread, jams and fruit juice, a selection of cereals and a daily changing hot or cold special. Delicious home made afternoon cake or biscuits will be served upon your return from the slopes each day.

Your Hosts

Sam and Alvaro are an English-Spanish couple who first ventured to the Paradiski in 2002 to run a ski chalet together. They fell in love with the mountains and never left. These days they’re based year-round in the mountains.

Chalet Layout

There’s plenty of space inside this chalet for socialising including a big play room/chill out space, quiet corners for reading or studying and even a separate dining room. It’s very peaceful too. The chalet is ski-in on an off piste forest track, and there’s also an on-demand private driver service to the lifts and back. Despite being so close to the ski slopes, the hamlet has managed to stay hidden and undeveloped. Children make snowmen and sledge in the village fields, deer and wild boar visit the gardens at night, and the sky is lit by stars and a few old fashioned street lamps.

The chalet is composed of the main house and its top floor penthouse (accessed internally or via external stairs). It can sleep up to 16, or 18 if at least 2 of the group are children. The bedrooms and bathrooms are arranged as follows (the majority of rooms are ensuite or have a private bathroom):

  • Bedroom 1 (Montagnette): spacious double room (queen size bed 160x200cm or x2 80x200cm) with mountain views, sitting area and juliette balcony, free standing bath and ensuite shower room, mountain views.
  • Bedroom 2 (Pantoufle): twin / double room (king size bed 180x200cm or 2x 90x200cm), tongue-and-groove panelling, window seat with mountain views, wood floors and ensuite shower room
  • Bedroom 3 (Grange): family room (queen size bed 160x200cm or 2x 80x200cm, + bunks) with ensuite shower room, wood floors and balcony with mountain views
  • Bedroom 4 (Studio): triple room (x1 single 90x200cm + bunks), shower room & WC across the hall
  • Bedroom 5 (Cabin): a small room between Pantoufle and Montagnette, with a double wall bed (140x200cm) and window seat with mountain views. The bed occupies most of the floor space when it’s down. There’s also a WC and sink along the hall
  • Bedroom 6 (Melezes): twin or double room (beds 90x200cm) with mountain views, ensuite shower room and toilet
  • Bedroom 7 (Atelier): optional mezzanine off the sitting room with two cabin-style single beds built in under the eaves.

Key Features

  • TV/games room with comfy chairs and sofas, TV for films or games (no reception) and garden views
  • Large top floor sitting room with panoramic mountain views from the picture windows and loggia
  • Dining room with mountain views and doors to terrace
  • Large enclosed garden with sun terrace, deck and mountain views
  • Wood fired outdoor sauna and hot tub (subject to a supplement)
  • Ski store and WIFI
  • Free private parking for 2 cars (and plenty more free spaces in the village)

The chalet is in the top part of Montvilliers (1100m), a tiny unspoilt hamlet tucked away on the mountainside under the ski resort of Plagne Montalbert (one of the La Plagne ski villages). One of the highest resorts in Europe, there are lots of lift-linked runs suitable for all levels, and beautiful forest runs down to the La Plagne villages. Montalbert’s fast gondola is a short 5 minute drive in our private chalet shuttle. You can also ski back along off-piste forest tracks.
