Service

Friday 31st March: Get there

You could either arrive early to sneak in half days skiing, or fly out after work and meet everyone for dinner and drinks at the chalet. We’ll enjoy a quality three course dinner with wine, get to know each other, and use Fatmaps groundbreaking 3D visualisations to preview the Verbier terrain we’ll be exploring.

Saturday 1st April: Competition day

Skip the lift que and head up to the panoramic VIP viewing area. There’s great views of the start ramp and individual lines, expert commentary and a video wall so we can track every epic turn. We’ll have exclusive behind the scenes access, a chance to chat with the riders and get your picture with them.

There will be coffee and croissants in the morning and we’ll enjoy a great lunch – “Assiette Valaisanne“ with regional wines and champagne, a typical Swiss cheese raclette, and dessert.

When the action is over and the food and drink devoured, we’ll head back to the event village to continue the party. That evening we’ll head to the official dinner and after party, where we’ll hang out with the athletes and honor the winners of the competition.

Sunday 2nd April: Ski with the pros

Today it’s your turn. We’ll use the latest 3D mapping to plan our routes, learn basic avalanche awareness, route finding and mountain skills and find the untouched powder and our own epic lines.

We’ll be joined for half a day by one of the competitors in the Freeride World Tour, a unique chance to ski and hangout with one of the best skiers on the planet.

We’ll return to the chalet in the evening for a drink, a relax in the hot tub and a chance to go through the awesome footage from the day before heading out together for a final meal in a local restaurant.

Monday 3rd April: Ski and head home.

After breakfast, head out for a last day of skiing before evening flights home. If you need to shoot off earlier in the day, you can.

Throughout the weekend you’ll have the chance to to demo a variety of Faction skis, and talk to the Faction team about them. You’ll get a free lifetime subscription to FATMAP and a personal 3D visualisation and video of your routes that weekend.

Accommodation

Our base for the weekend is a luxurious chalet with hot tub a short hop from the pistes, and 6 minutes walk from the town centre.

The chalet has been renovated in 2009, combining a traditional alpine feel with a modern contemporary twist.

The ground floor has a light & spacious open plan lounge and dining area with great views and cosy sofas around the log fire with TV, DVD & WIFI. Upstair bedrooms have access to the sun drenched south facing balcony.

Accommodation is in twin or triple rooms with three separate bathrooms. A few rooms can be made as doubles if required.

Location

Verbier should need no introduction. 2 hours from Geneva, this lively town is the access point for some of the most coveted ski terrain in the world. It’s with good reason that the Freeride World Tour stop here, and Faction skis are made and tested here.

F.A.Q.

How do I book?

Spaces are in such high demand that we’re doing a ballot. Register by 11.59pm on 11th Feb to enter the ballot. Names will be drawn at random on 12th February and invited to join the trip by paying for their spot in full.*

What's included?

We’re rolling everything in to maximise convenience. You just need to turn up. The weekend includes:

  • 3 nights in a luxurious chalet with hot tub (sharing twin or triple rooms).
  • 3 breakfasts and 1 three course dinner with wine in the chalet.
  • Panoramic VIP viewing of the competition with lunch, drinks and video commentary.
  • Official event dinner, entry to the after party.
  • Half a day skiing with a Freeride World Tour entrant and Faction pro.
  • Full day of guided off piste skiing with basic mountain skills/avalanche awareness training.
  • Demo Faction ski equipment.
  • Professional photographer riding with you, images shared with you.
  • Unique 3D previews and reviews of the lines you ride each day, powered by FATMAP.
  • 2 days of lift passes (Saturday and Sunday).
  • Shared airport transfers from Geneva to meet the flight of your choice.

What other costs are there?

To maximise convenience, we’ve included as much as possible. Not included, but we can help with: - Ski insurance. - lunch on Friday, Sunday and Monday (buy on the mountain). - Sunday evening meal (we’ll pick a great restaurant in town to enjoy some local specialties). - Lift passes on Friday and Monday (can be pre-ordered and payable locally as required). - Avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe (can be pre-ordered and payable locally if required). - Flights to Geneva (we can advise).

You’ll need to bring your own ski boots, or hire them locally (we can pre-arrange). Faction skis are available to demo for free all weekend.

How good do I need to be?

Don’t worry, the pro’s will huck the cliffs, we don’t expect you to. If you are a comfortable red and black skier and have even limited off piste experience you’ll be fine. The guided skiing we do will include training in off-piste skills and avalanche awareness, and be tailored to the group. We’ll pick routes that allow people to go at their own pace.

Who is the tour pro we'll ride with?

We like to keep you in suspense, so the rider will be announced nearer the time. They are a renowned Freeride professional, and a regular on the tour.

Will it be the best weekend of my life?

Probably.

Please note, due to the changeable nature of conditions, and the tight schedules of professional athletes, this itinerary is subject to change. The Freeride tour event is scheduled for Saturday, but it may be postponed to Sunday, and in extremely rare circumstances can be rearranged or cancelled all together. In the event this happens, a small refund covering the event viewing costs may be possible.
