Today’s ride involves roads, paths and even singletrack.

Wind your way through the valley into a landscape of dramatic karst rock formations. Caves, sinks, natural bridges and vivid blue rivers await you.

There are a lot of stops to make if you’re interested, including the Bazovica memorial site and the Lipica stud horse farm.

Our Epic Weekends are very social in nature and we’ve seen lots of new friendships born out of them. Expect a mix of solo travelers and very small groups, all with a shared appreciation of escaping the city for the great outdoors to try something new and meet new people.

You’ll pedal along paved and dirt roads, bike paths, and singletrack. You have the entire day to make the distance, so there’s plenty of time to stop, rest and explore. Your local cycling guide will always be with you to point out places of interest and tell you about the history and nature surrounding you.

A basic level of fitness is needed to enjoy four back-to-back days of biking. Previous cycling experience is strongly recommended but not required. There’s always vehicle support, so if you need to take a break—or even skip a whole day—you can.

Food in Slovenia is very diverse with lots of influence from neighbouring countries. In addition to traditional Slovenian foods like meat stews and dandelion salads you can find plenty of Italian food and other international cuisine.
