Chalet Layout

The living area is bright and open, thanks to the spacious double-height sitting room, pale wood and the wall-to-wall views. Muted tones of grey within the soft furnishings make for a relaxed feel, with carefully-positioned lighting creating a welcoming ambience.

The four bedrooms have been thoughtfully planned to make the most of this incredible location, with fabulous views from each of the four twin or double rooms. All are en-suite with either bath or shower and WC, and of course the creature comforts: robe, slippers, botanical toiletries and fluffy towels.

The private hydrotherapy spa located within the chalet has a glitzy feel and is a chic spot to unwind with a glass of bubbles.

As a self-catered ski property, the kitchen is sleek, modern and well stocked with plenty of equipment for cooking during your holiday. A housekeeper will visit daily to make sure the place is ship-shape when you arrive back from the slopes. We can also organise a chef either just for a couple of meals or for the entire week, if you fancy dining in without the effort.

The chalet has secure ski storage within the communal building, but most guests take advantage of our heated ski lockers next to the lift station. After a day on the slopes, all you need to do is pop your equipment into the locker and head to one of the friendly local bars for après-ski. Try the sun terrace at L’Alambic for Belgian beers, a vin chaud at Le Schuss bar or indulge in a gourmet hot chocolate whilst wrapped in a furry blanket at Fire and Ice at the foot of the Belvedere piste.

Frequently Asked Questions back to top

**What activities are nearby?**

The nearby Aquamotion swimming pool and spa is a huge highlight for visitors to Courchevel Moriond. Ideal for children and non-skiers, we recommend the 18-hour pass which gives plenty of opportunity to use up excess energy on the slides, or to relax in one of the adults-only spa zones. There’s also a seriously cool climbing wall which is popular with youngsters, as is the wakeboarding wave centre.

For thrills and spills, a new 3 kilometre luge run is being installed which will run from the top of the Moriond bubble lift right down into resort.

Our concierge can also recommend and reserve hot air balloon rides, tandem paragliding, riding on a piste basher up near the Altiport, or snowmobiling.

Up in 1850 you’ll find an ice-rink in the Forum centre which is open in the afternoons, as well as high ropes, climbing wall and bowling alley. There’s a cinema which has showings in the afternoon on bad weather days, or you could simply enjoy wandering around and enjoying the shopping and ambience of resort life.

**What's provided in the apartment?**

You’ll find the beds made up for your arrival, and towels, robes, slippers and a hairdryer in your room. You’ll also have 100% natural Green & Spring toiletries and an SPF Albus & Flora lip balm

We provide a Welcome Pack with essentials for washing up etc and the kitchen is well-equipped with all mod cons including coffee-making facilities.

A housekeeper will come for 2 hours every day to ensure the place is looking fresh for your return from the slopes.

**Are there any good bars and restaurants nearby?**

Yes, plenty!

Courchevel Moriond has a huge selection of great restaurants and bars, whether you’re after a quick snack or fine dining. Don’t miss Cucina Angelina, Angela Hartnett’s gorgeous Italian restaurant which serves wood-fired pizzas, Italian classics and meat cooked on an open fire. With Courchevel 1850 just 10 minutes away on the free bus, the foodie possibilities are endless!

**What's the best way to get to The Loft?**

Our closest airports are Geneva, Lyon, Chambery or Grenoble and you can book a transfer through us, payable in Euros. Some of our guests arrive by train to Moutiers-Salins and we can also organise transfers to and from this station.

Driving from the UK or hiring a car from one of the above airports is also a popular option and there are two covered parking spaces available at no extra cost.

**What's the skiing like in Courchevel Moriond?**

Skiing in Moriond is heaven for intermediate skiers, with a large choice of wide open blue pistes to enjoy. The newly-installed nursery slopes at the top of the brand new gondola are perfect for beginners, with a Wild West tepee area making it attractive for children. Strong intermediates and experts have the entire Three Valleys as a playground!
