The Food

As skiers ourselves, we know how important breakfast is to set you up for a good day on the mountain so take your pick from porridge and eggs cooked to order, French bread, preserves, flaky croissants, yoghurt, muesli, cereals and each day a differing cooked option which includes sausages and bacon, fluffy pancakes, scrambled eggs with lardons, all served alongside fruit juice and freshly brewed coffee or our specially imported Yorkshire tea. Put your feet up and relax with a Vin Chaud while your host cooks your delicious three-course candlelit dinner. Evening meals are friendly and sociable so you can take your time and enjoy the food in a dinner party atmosphere.

The dinner menu is freshly prepared to create delicious wholesome dishes that range from local mountain favourites such as a traditional rich boeuf bourguignon to delicately fragrant chicken all served with delicious accompaniments and seasonal vegetables. We finish with scrumptious desserts such as a classic warming apple crumble or a melt in your mouth chocolate fondant. All of our food is complimented with a choice of handpicked wines supplied by our wine merchant Le Verre Gourmand and finally we round off the evening with freshly brewed coffee and tea.

When you return from the slopes you will be greeted by freshly baked cake along with tea and coffee.

Your Hosts

Your hosts will be part of a team run by an independent, family owned company. They continually strive for excellence in everything they do and never forget that’s it’s their passion for the mountains that brought them here. They are proud of what they do and genuinely care about their guests and everyone they work with.

F.A.Q.

Can my hosts cater to my dietary requirements?

In order to plan the menu and source relevant ingredients, it is important that you advise your hosts at the time of booking (or at least two weeks before you depart for your holiday). The following ingredients will incur no extra charge; gluten free flour, gluten free pasta, gluten free cakes, soya milk, pulse and grains.

For additional products such as dairy free spreads, soy yoghurts, gluten free cereals and meat substitutes due to the high cost of these items in the Alps, they make an additional charge of £20 per person in order to source the right ingredients for you. Vegetarian options are also available.

Is there a separate children's mealtime?

If required, your hosts can provide a separate two-course meal time for your children at 6 pm. An example meal would be beef bourguignon served with mashed potato, broccoli, carrots followed by mouse au chocolat for pudding.

Can I bring children under the age of 2?

Your hosts do not accept babies under 2 in any shared chalets; you will have to book a whole chalet. For any babies above the maximum occupancy there will be a charge of £100 per baby plus any additional private transfer costs if applicable. Please note your hosts do not provide any baby food or fresh milk due to hygiene rules. They do not provide any baby bed linen, towels for babies etc, but they do provide travel cots and high chairs.

What should I do on the chalet day off?

Your host will have a day off during the week. The table will have been laid the night before with breakfast cereals, and fresh bread will be delivered in the morning from the local bakery to your chalet door. When you return from your day on the mountain you will find a tin of homemade flapjacks with tea and coffee to help yourself to. Your host will help you choose and book a restaurant for you to dine out on this evening. You can’t use the cooking facilities apart from the kettle and the microwave.

Under what condition can I receive a free airport transfer?

Fully private transfers from any local Alpine airport or station require whole chalet bookings only. They are also available for shared transfers from Geneva for room by room bookings. However, strict terms and conditions apply.
