What to Expect

Saturday: Surf lessons and wild camping

You will meet your host at their HQ in the heart of Newquay at 09:30. You’ll be briefed on the plan for the weekend and kitted out with all the equipment you need.

You’ll head to the beach where your guide, with your surfing aspirations in mind, will give you the first of today’s two surfing lessons. You’ll break for lunch before continuing with your second surfing lesson.

After a shop stop for BBQ food and drinks, you’ll make the 15-minute drive to the private wild camp in the woods where you’ll stay tonight.

With the BBQ burning, you can relax and get to know your fellow surfers on camp and even take a stroll in the woods to watch the sunset.

Sunday: Practice on Cornwall’s best waves

You’ll have breakfast at 08:00 before a quick recap of yesterday’s surfing lessons.

Feeling confident, you’ll head to where the waves are the best for your third surfing session of the weekend.

Your surfing experience will come to an end at around 13:00 when you’ll return to dry land and dry clothes.

Note: This itinerary and the duration of the activities are subject to change due to group abilities and preferences, and weather conditions and forecasts.

Accommodation

You’ll wild camp on untouched private land 11 miles outside Newquay. Luxurious bell tents are arranged in a woodland connected by festive banners and twinkle lights.

Each bell tent sleeps 4 people. Air mattresses, clean sheets and pillows are provided; all you have to bring is a sleeping bag.

There’s a composting toilet on site, and fresh water is provided for washing up, but otherwise, you’ll be without facilities in the peaceful countryside.
