Croatia’s islands and coastline are the ideal settings for a sailing adventure. The Kornati archipelago is made up of 140 islands, the majority of which are part of the Kornati National Park. None of the islands are permanently inhabited with only small off-grid dwellings used for part of the year. The islands and islets of Kornati are only accessible by boat and the protected coves and reefs offer wild and natural experience.

The Šibenik archipelago is a group of 249 islands situated off the south-west coast of Croatia in the Adriatic Sea - only six of the islands in the group are permanently inhabited. Life on the islands follows a different pace of life with traditions unchanged for generations. The tiny villages and ports of the region are a wonderful insight into rustic Croatian island life.

The islands are surrounded by a warm turquoise sea, with water temperatures as high as 27 degrees Celsius in August, perfect for swimming and standup paddleboarding. The limestone islands have a typically Mediterranean vegetation and on inhabited islands grapes, olives, plums and figs are the main forms of agriculture.

Start point

Skradin Marina - 14:00

Your adventure begins at the Skradin marina at 14:00 on Day 1, when you will meet your host and fellow adventures.

We recommend you get any flight to Split Airport (SPU). From the airport, the easiest way to reach Skardin harbour is either by bus or to hire a car. There are several bus services that operate between Split and Skardin, the journey takes around an hour and fifteen minutes and costs around €10.

Finish point

Skradin Marina - 10:00

Your adventure ends at Skradin marina where you will disembark the catamaran by 10:00. You are then able to return to Split Airport (SPU) for your onward flight home, or extend your stay in Croatia further.

What to Expect

Day 1: Sail out to the Islands

You’ll need to arrive at Skradin marina by 17:00 to meet your host and board the catamaran that will be your home for the next four days.

When the group are all on board, you’ll set sail northwest to Prvić Island. Here, you will take a walk around this unique island with no roads, no cars, and little noise.

Tonight, you will anchor in one of the beautiful bays and enjoy dinner and an evening swim. The catamaran is very modern with lots of deck space for comfortable sailing and resting.

Day 2: Kornati Island for SUP and Swimming

You’ll set sail north this morning, heading towards the Kornati Island National Park.

You’ll spend much of the day here exploring the landscape, swimming in the rocky bays and trying your hand at some standup paddleboarding.

This evening, you’ll anchor in one of the many bays and enjoy a hike up to a viewpoint that will show you most of the archipelago of the Kornati Islands.

Day 3: Zlarin Island and Some Extraordinary Swimming

After breakfast this morning, you’ll set sail once again and continue your journey towards Zlarin.

Along the way, you’ll stop at remote locations, accessible only by boat, to enjoy some unique swimming experiences and SUP.

Tonight, you’ll anchor in a quiet bay and head on to land for a serene final evening in the village to enjoy some local seafood and wines.

Day 4: Time to Head Home

This morning, you’ll set sail and make your way back to Skradin, disembarking at around 10:00.

Whether you plan to explore more of Croatia on dry land or head home, you’ll be leaving with an experience you’ll never forget.

Note: This itinerary and the duration of the activities are subject to change due to group abilities and preferences, and weather conditions and forecasts.
