The Food

The food you will be served will not be fine dining, but it will be homely, plentiful, well-executed and very, very tasty. And the ongoing feedback your hosts now receive suggests that they are hitting the spot.

You can expect a choice of either a continental or hot option for breakfast. The continental breakfast is served every day, and will include cereal, yoghurt, fruit, fruit juices, pastries and baguette with condiments, with tea and coffee.

The hot option will be served on 6 days out of 7, and will generally consist of eggs (in various styles), bacon or sausage butties, full English, breakfast omelettes, French toast and pancakes.

When you return from the slopes, you can expect some freshly baked cakes, cookies, tea and coffee, and some cordial for the children.

Your chalet chef will have freedom over the menu he or she creates, as to fit your dietary requirements and tastes.

Sample Menu

  • Tomato and mozzarella cheese salad for starter
  • Confit duck served with dauphinoise potatoes for main
  • Chocolate mousse for dessert
  • Followed by a selection of cheeses with grapes and home-made chutney

Your Hosts

Your hosts devote more time, resources and (nervous) energy to recruiting, training and managing their staff than they commit to any other task. They only hire people with intelligence and diligence, as well as the requisite skills to do the job for which they were employed. Your experienced hosts can guarantee you an easy, free-flowing stay!

Accommodation

Chalet layout

The chalet has three bedrooms all of which are spacious enough to enable the chalet to accommodate up to eight persons. The good-sized double-height lounge with spectacular chimney and open-fire in the middle of the room is a great place to sit and relax in the evening and the sauna (with adjoining shower room) and balconies are also worthy of a mention too (particularly if one is getting paid by the word). The three bedrooms each have a shower or bath en-suite to ensure that sword-crossing is optional and not necessary.

Key Facilities

  • Sauna
  • Balcony with views
  • Ski & boot room
  • Open fire
  • En-suite accommodation
  • Heated boot rack
  • Village center
  • Spacious Living

Location

Because it is located in the village of Les Allues and not in Méribel Centre, you’re getting a great chalet at a great price. And accessing the slopes is simple; a short walk and then a 15-minute bus ride.

F.A.Q.

Can my hosts cater to my dietary requirements?

Simply let your hosts know in advance what your dietary requirements are, and they will be more than happy to accommodate you.

Do my hosts do a separate meal for children?

If required, your hosts can organise a separate meal time for your children. Speak to your hosts in advance to discuss your children’s tastes and requirements.

What if I don't want to ski?

Your hosts can help you to arrange a whole host of mountain activities such as husky sledding, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. The mountains aren’t just fun for skiers!

What should we do for dinner on the chalet day off?

There are plenty of good local restaurants for you to sample. Your hosts are more than happy to recommend the best local restaurants, and help you with any bookings you need to make.
