Need To Know

Of course, most sailing trips in the Adriatic Sea will be a great experience if you’re seeking sun and relaxation.

Yet, this trip has a more adventurous twist to it. In general, most sailing trips come with a skipper and a fixed route. In comparison, this trip is powered by wind and the experience of your skipper who will lead you to less touristy places.

On top of that, you’ll be accompanied by a professional SUP guide who will take you on daily excursions and teaches you a variety of activities you can do on a SUP such as sup games, yoga wind-suping and sup-surfing. Having the chance to explore the coastline by SUP will allow you to get to places, that usually aren’t accessible by others.

A truly unique way to experience Croatia’s many Islands.

Every day will be very different. Since there is no fixed itinerary or route, the program of the day will always be based on the group’ preferences.

You’ll start your morning with a tasty breakfast on the boat’s deck. While enjoying your breakfast the skipper will check the wind conditions in order to make a plan for the day. If the wind is right you can expect 2-3 hours of sailing a day, before anchoring in one of the many isolated bays.

Here you may decide to go for a swim, snorkel or join your SUP instructor on one of the daily excursions along the shore. If you feel lazy, you can just stay on the deck, lay down and take in the Croatian sun.

In the evening, once the temperatures drop, join your host for an evening Yoga session onboard before enjoying a freshly home-cooked dinner.

  • All sailing equipment
  • SUPs (for the whole group)

You can expect food such as meat, salads, Mediterranean pasta, Mediterranean ricottas, lots of vegetables like an oven baked potato with vegetables and more.

Of course, they are welcome on private trips. They simply adore stand-up paddle-boarding!

Children over 12 years of age can join us on their own SUP board, whereas younger kids can sit at the front of their (experienced) parent’s board where they will enjoy the experience as much as if they were holding the paddle themselves.

The Croatian Adriatic coastline is 1,777 km long and occupies most of the eastern Adriatic shoreline. The natural beauty and picturesqueness of the Croatian coastline is accentuated by the mild Mediterranean climate, with between 2,400 and 2,800 hours of sunshine per year, which makes it one of the sunniest coastlines in Europe.

With over 1,000 islands and a spectacular rocky coast washed by the cleanest Mediterranean seas, Croatia is a dreamy summer destination, yet its unspoilt nature, dynamic cultural scene, and priceless architectural marvels can be enjoyed no matter the season.

With their crystal-clear blue waters, dramatic cliffs, and spectacular bays, the rugged Kornati Islands just off the northern Dalmatian coast are a sailor’s paradise. Consisting of 140 or so uninhabited islands, this is the Med’s densest archipelago and one of Croatia’s most spectacular and unique natural parks

If you’re already in Croatia, your host can also pick you up from the centre of Zadar. Please let them know in advance. Once everyone is onboard you’ll set sail right away.

Finish point

Zadar Airport - 09:00
At the end of your adventure, you’ll be dropped back at Zadar Airport (ZAD) at 09:00. You’re free to book any flight departing after 10:30.

What to Expect

Day 1: Embark the Yacht

You will be picked up at Zadar Airport at 12:00 and dropped off at Marina, where you will meet your guide and skipper.

You’ll board the yacht and start the adventure with sailing into the sunset; one of many magnificent sunsets you’ll enjoy on this trip.

Days 2: Introductory Sailing Course

Today, you’ll become an active member of the sailing team; as part of the introductory sailing course, you’ll learn how to lift the sails and even have a go yourself.

As you sail closer to the coast, it’s time to finally jump into the crystal-clear Adriatic Sea and take a trip along the island shores on your paddleboard.

Your guide will show you all the basics you need, so don’t worry if you’ve never used a paddleboard before; the bays are calm so it’s the perfect place to learn.

Day 3-7: Sail, Sup, Explore and Relax

The next 4 days are all about what you want from your trip; every morning will start with a freshly prepared breakfast and coffee and after that, the group will determine the programme for the day. One thing that is for sure, you’re going to feel a million miles away from the day-to-day back home.

Your SUP instructor and skipper know all the best sights, secret coves and fun activities; each day you’ll embark on small mini-excursions from the boat, either by foot or SUP. From paddle-boarding along the unique, rocky coast, soaking up the sun on the untouched white sand beaches or snorkelling in the crystal waters. You’ll go where the wind takes you and have the shorelines to yourselves.

Once you’ve mastered the SUP boarding, helped along by an introductory SUP course, you can try your hand at SUP surfing on the wave behind the boat, challenge yourself with a wind-supping session, or enjoy a sunset yoga session to balance body and mind.

One of the days will be set aside to paddle between the numerous Kornati islands in Kornati National Park. Arriving on dry land, you’ll hike the lost village on Male island and experience local Mediterranean life.

Day 8: Time to say Goodbye

This morning, you’ll arrive back at the Marina; say goodbye to an awesome team and some great new friends.

Your transfer will be waiting for you to take you back to Zadar airport for your flight home.

Note: This itinerary and the duration of the activities are subject to change due to group abilities and preferences, and weather conditions and forecasts. Please note that extra charges may apply if the boat needs to enter the harbour for safety reasons due to bad weather conditions.

You will be staying in a cabin for 2 people on spacious 3, 4 or 5 cabin sail yacht.

All prices are based on 2 people sharing a cabin. If you’re a solo traveller you’ll be accommodated in a cabin with two separate single beds. Should you wish to have your own private cabin, just let your host know when booking to upgrade your booking for a supplement.
