Key Information
Day 1
Welcome to Marrakech

Fly into the colorful city of Marrakech and head to your traditional riad in the historic medina. Spend the day exploring the souk and the unforgettable main square, the ever-changing show that is the Jemaa el-Fnaa – a place that’s been beguiling and entertaining travelers for centuries. Finish the day meeting your crew over dinner to hear all about the adventure ahead.
Day 2
Road-tripping to the gorge

Driving
Up bright and early for your road trip across the country. Passing through the Atlas Mountains, you'll pause at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou for a quick look around and to grab some lunch. The journey then continues all the way to the limestone cliffs of Todra Gorge, a natural oasis with a river running through the middle and a dense 'palmeraie' (date palm forest) on either side.
Day 3
Time to climb some cliffs

Rock Climbing
Yoga
You'll have a briefing this morning with your climbing guide and get set up with your gear before heading on foot to the entrance of the gorge. The 1,312 ft near-vertical red rock cliffs are a climber's mecca, with plenty of routes available for total novices to progress along. You'll spend the day getting to grips with the equipment and your technique before heading back to the guesthouse late afternoon. After a bit of time to relax, there'll be a pre-dinner yoga class to limber up and stretch out. Dinner will be a social and hearty affair.
Day 4
Higher and higher

Rock Climbing
Yoga
Building on the skills you learned yesterday, you'll tackle some new routes as you start to get a feel for the rocks and the surroundings. You'll be climbing in an area with some shade so there's plenty of downtime if needed - and of course, a picnic lunch when you're ready or a quick walk to the local village to grab anything else you fancy. Heading back to the guesthouse late afternoon you'll again have another yoga class on the roof as the sun sets. This is the perfect way to relax before dinner and the roof is also a relaxing place to hang out and star-gaze at the end of the day.
Day 5
Hiking, mint tea and Sahara-dwelling

Hiking
Yoga
Switch your climbing shoes for hiking boots today as you set off on an 8-mile loop of the gorge. Passing goat-herders, wandering donkeys and nomadic locals along the way, you'll follow the path to a plateau with 360° views across the Atlas Mountains. Back at the guesthouse, it's time to head to Merzouga. You'll travel part by private bus or car and part by 4x4 desert truck to get to your luxury camp in the dunes. There'll be time for a bit of sandboarding before a relaxing sunset yoga session. Dinner is served in one of the open tents, the vastness and silence of the desert providing a dramatic backdrop.
Day 6
Sunrise yoga and via ferrata

Yoga
Via Ferrata
Get up before dawn to capture the magical sunrise over the Sahara. You'll have a gentle yoga class in the early morning rays to energize for the day, before heading back to Todra Gorge. Time to experience Morocco's only via ferrata and be rewarded with epic views over the gorge. You'll follow an iron-railed route and be clipped in with a harness – although it might feel scary, you're very safe. There is the option to challenge yourself further by taking on a short but exposed wire bridge, the ultimate adrenaline fix. Head back to the guesthouse for a final yoga session (optional) and a traditional Moroccan feast.
Day 7
Back to the city

Driving
Back to Marrakech today, stopping along the way for lunch. It's a long drive, so there'll be plenty of time to soak up the High Atlas views from the bus and reflect on your adventure before getting back into Marrakech for goodbyes and flights home.

What is the food like?

Moroccan food is a unique blend of sweet and savory flavors. Local specialties include tajines (a stew cooked in an earthenware pot), couscous, and pastilles (flaky pastries stuffed with meat and dusted with cinnamon and sugar). Food is often spiced with cumin, turmeric, and ginger.
Breakfast will usually feature bread, jelly, cookies, fruit, juice, coffee, and milk. Packed lunches will be a mix of local ingredients such as bread, cheese, olives, salad, etc. Dinner will usually include soup, a classic Moroccan tajine, couscous, olives, nuts, and fruit.
Vegetarians, vegans, and other dietary requirements and allergies can be catered for - please just request it on your passenger info form.
What is the accommodation like?

Marrakech
You'll stay in a beautiful riad - a traditional Moroccan house with an interior garden or courtyard. The exact riad will be confirmed closer to the time based on availability and group size; however, all are chosen for their excellent reputation, location, beautiful decor, and welcoming service.

Todra Gorge
You'll spend your nights in Todra Gorge at the Auberge Tizgui. This locally owned and operated guesthouse is renowned for its hospitality and rooms are decorated traditionally. You'll stay in twin-share rooms by default.

Sahara Berber Camp
You'll spend one night in a Berber camp in the dunes of the Sahara. This is definitely more glamping than camping; each tent has raised beds and an en suite as standard. There's plenty of space to enjoy the tranquility of the desert and to have a chat around the fire at night.
Upgrades
For solo travellers looking for their own space, an optional private room and single tent can be booked for an extra charge, see Optional Extras for the price. Please request this at the time of booking as this is subject to availability.
This trip has been rated as Moderate
As this is an introductory trip, you do not need any previous experience rock climbing or practicing yoga. Both activities can be tailored to your experience so while absolute beginners are very welcome, so are those who have experience in both. Todra Gorge offers a multitude of quality single and multi-pitch sports climbs for all grades so there really is something for everyone. You should have a reasonable level of fitness for the hiking day but this can be taken at your own pace and if you'd rather sit it out, this is totally fine too.
What if i need to skip an activity?
All activities are also totally optional - so if you decide that yoga isn't for you or you would like to only climb for a little bit each day, this is of course absolutely fine, you are on vacation after all!
Todra Gorge is known for long dry months usually from February to November. In February to March, daytime temperatures sit around 59-68°F and drop to below 50°F at night. April and May will be a bit warmer, usually around 77°F in the day but again, cooler at night. The months of June-August are too hot to run the trip so it resumes again in September when daytime temperatures can still hit 86°F. It starts to cool a little in October and November, then becomes too cold for climbing in December and January. Moroccan heat is dry as so much of the landscape is desert - rainfall is rare in the months the trips runs but isn't unheard of. If you do experience rain it is likely to be short and sharp and often a welcome relief to the heat.

Amazing trip - lives up to all the reviews!
When I was looking at the reviews before booking this trip, they honestly looked almost too good to be true, but having been on the trip back in March, I can safely say they were spot on! A truly memorable trip that takes you to beautiful parts of Morocco many visitors don't get to experience. A jam-packed yet chilled trip wonderfully hosted by Dan, Natalie and Owain, with special mention to Faizal and Mohamed at the Auberge, who welcomed us during Ramadan and were so generous with their kindness - and their teasing! I particularly loved the rock climbing and trip to the Sahara, with the yoga a welcome antidote to sore muscles and 'belay neck'. . . Our group was such a fabulous bunch; we really bonded, and several of us based in the UK continue to meet up since we got back. If you're considering this trip, I say go for it!

Great week climbing and exploring Morocco
This was such a fantastic, well organised trip. Hosts Dan and Natalie were so friendly and knowledgeable, the climbing blew my mind, with great support from David (Spidermonkey) and Owain. Yoga was so welcome and necessary after all of the travelling and activities, via ferrata was so much fun and the cherry on the cake was the night in the Sahara. Our group was a mix of wonderful spuld of all ages and we gelled really well. And who could forget Faizal the host at the Todra Gorge Auberge, such a knowledgeable and funny guy who made some delicious food. Would 100% do it all again.

The most amazing time
This was my first solo group trip. I was nervous going and have never done rock climbing before. But as soon as I met everyone I completely relaxed. I had the best time. The accommodation in Marrakesh was lovely and the accommodation in Todra gorge was traditional, basic but nice and clean with stunning views, top food and Faisal added to the character of the place! The scenery was stunning and the rock climbing was in a relaxed manner so there was no pressure or you could challenge yourself as much as you liked. Getting to the top was a huge buzz and you feel you really achieved something and everyone was so supportive of each other. The yoga was amazing and went so well with the rock climbing and was so relaxing. Although it was an active holiday it also felt relaxed in the nature around you and it was so special. The desert was the icing on the cake and it was just amazing and felt so privileged being there for the full moon. Nat, Dan, Owain and David were all so lovely. Thank you and would love to return! 😊

Climbing crags to desert dunes!
Brilliant trip with the rock and yogi team!
The whole team in morocco was fab, from the drivers, accommodation staff to the instructors, everyone was friendly and helpful. Everything was really well organised and ran smoothly.
The rock climbing in Todra Gorge was beautiful Dan and Max did a great job making everyone feel comfortable and were able to tailor the days so everyone got the most out of it.
Natalie took some lovely yoga sessions to unwind after the days climbing which was much appreciated!
The trip into the desert, surrounded by endless sand dunes, was a nice way to finish off the trip with some sunset and sunrise yoga.
The trip had a packed itinerary which was the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing experience
What an experience!! The whole trip was so well organised from start to finish. All three instructors, Natalie, Owain and Dan, were fabulous, giving us all so much confidence and encouragement. The setting for the rock climbing is absolutely stunning, and the Sahara was breathtaking.
I can't praise this trip enough, one of the best experiences of my life.
A huge thank you to Dan and Natalie for your support, encouragement and excellent company.
Overall great experience!
Trip was absoultely amazing. Evertything perfectly organized. Great variety of all kinds of activities: climbing, yoga, via ferata, sleeping in a camp in the desert, hiking tour, seeing a historical world heritage site, getting in touch with locals. Natalie, Dan and Owain were super nice. Felt very comfortable when climbing eventhough I am a bit anxious of heights, which was due to the great explanation beforehand. Overall great experience, would definitely recommend.
Rock & Yogi - a great introduction to real outdoor climbing.
Outstanding location for people new to outdoor climbing. Excellent itinerary lead by friendly & professional guides: Dan, Owain & Natalie were all supportive and informative. The yoga is definitely recommended to relieve aching muscles. Great accommodation at the auberge - Faisal & Mohamed were super friendly and generous. Highly recommended!
Fantastic escape to the Atlas Mountains
A brilliant, action packed week away to the spectacular Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Big thanks to Natalie, Dan and Owain who looked after us and thought through every little detail to make it such a fun and energising trip away. I was a complete novice to climbing so at first scaling a 30-40 metre cliff face was terrifying, but it was so exhilarating and rewarding in the end. Natalie's yoga was a lovely way to end the big days of climbing and seeing in the sunset and sunrise in the desert was pretty special. We were a group of 12 and all bonded well and had a good laugh together, making it a really memorable experience. Be prepared for early starts and action packed days and I'd recommend doing a little bit of climbing if you can beforehand, but that isn't essential as Dan and Owain will help you get up to speed easily enough and are very supportive.

Incredible! Spectacular! Wonderful!
An incredible week in a spectacular climbing destination with a wonderful group of fellow adventurers. An extra special thank you to Dan, Natalie and Owain for creating an environment where everyone in the group felt confident and comfortable, even whilst doing activities that were out of our normal comfort zone (definitely the yoga for me!). I’m already looking forward to coming back to Todra Gorge again!

And a grand time was had by all :)
This is the best trip I have ever been on. I travel alone regularly and this company provides an incredible and inclusive experience for anyone looking to adventure safely. They handled all transportation, activities, accommodations. All I had to do is show up and enjoy the experience. The accommodations were comfortable and the locations were off the beaten path, which I think gave the entire stay a bit of a more authentic and community interactive experience. It was such a privilege to be hosted by Natalie and Dan. They were so informative, genuine, and encouraging; they created an atmosphere of enthusiasm and excitement. I left this vacation feeling like I had cultivated another family. Our group was a well blended mix of beginners and climbing vets, and everyone was able to interactively move at their own speed but share the experience with each other. I had never been rock climbing before and not only did I feel completely comfortable during the actual activity, I felt well prepared by the instruction and support Dan gave. The climbs were anywhere from 30 to almost 37 meters high, with varying degrees difficulty and an opportunity to learn, and expand skills. The climbing days ended with an invigorating and grounding session of yoga, which honestly may have added a couple of years back to the lifespan of my joints lol. In addition to climbing, the trip to the desert offered a once in a lifetime experience and a lively little reprieve from our other activities. This is the perfect adventure for someone looking to test their limits, meet wonderful people, and experience a beautiful little piece of the world in a unique and fulfilling way.
An amazing experience
This is such an amazing trip. Perfect hosts, perfectly scheduled, perfect food!!!! Dan, Natalie, and Owain are wonderful instructors teaching you from the basics that anyone can jump in. The tour attracts like minded individuals which enhances the entire experience even more. Everyone is cheering the others on and the vibes are great. I've already recommended this trip to many of my friends.

Amazing trip end to end
I had an absolutely wonderful time from start to finish. Review wont really do it justice. Amazing group, great guides who know the area extremely well and made us feel very welcome. The guesthouse in tizgui is amazing and the two brothers who run it were lovely. The landscape is stunning, and the food is great.
As a vegetarian I was well catered for without issue.
Amazing trip
The trip was complete and very well followed by the hosts, that were available for every kind of necessity. The places we traveled to were amazing, and overall the whole atmosphere was very good.

Without a doubt, one of the best trips of my life!
To say that this trip has been amazing is an understatement. This adventure journey has been one of the best weeks that I have ever experienced. The itinerary could not have been planned better: Natalie, Dan and Owain were attentive and supportive in any possible way. From the moment I landed to Marrakech to the moment I left this gorgeous country, these guys had organised every moment to make this adventure unforgettable. The climbing and the yoga classes were incredible, and the night spent in the Sahara was the cherry on the top, totally magical. Natalie and Dan were super flexible and everyone at the riad and auberge were very welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious and everyone in the group got along beautifully and truly bonded and connected. I invited everyone to get on board to this journey, it will be an experience to remember for life!

Amazing Trip
100% recommend this trip, you'll be exhausted by the time you come home, but in the best way Had a great time, enjoyed every activity and was constantly wowed by the scenery
The Most Amazing Experience with the Most Incredible People
It's taken me quite some time to get around to writing this review but such is life! I went on this trip in September during a chapter of my life that was just full of stress and a million things going on at once, it has been since I got back too but that's another story! The purpose of the trip was to get away from all that, throw myself in to new experiences, a new culture and meet some new people and it absolutely delivered!
Right from the off when we met at the hotel in Marrakesh on the first night, all tired and a bit apprehensive about what we'd signed up for, I for one felt like we had a great group of people from a huge range of backgrounds but all with that adventurous streak and a willingness to push themselves and try something new. Everyone had different reasons for coming on the trip and the car journey out to the mountains the following day flew by as we all swapped stories about what we were expecting and what had inspired us to come on this trip solo.
As soon as we arrived at the Auberge we were welcomed warmly by Natalie, Dan, Owain, and of course the famous Faisal! Two days of climbing followed with Dan and Owain who have to be the most patient and supportive instructors known to man. When the pair of them flew off up the first rock face to put the lines up we were all stood there in amazement thinking there was no chance we'd be able to get half way up there let alone get to the top, but with the encouragement of the group and their incredibly patient and calm instruction we were all able to get up the wall and then head to our first yoga session that evening on a high. The evening yoga sessions with Natalie are just what you need after an a days climbing to relax muscles you didn't even know you had!
We then had a day with Natalie out in the Sahara desert, where the local guides drove us in 4x4s across humongous sand dunes which was an amazingly fun experience - our yoga session was cancelled because of a sandstorm and our camp had actually washed away in a flood a few days before, but as with everything on the trip if there was ever a problem one of the guys would sort it in no time and the group would come together and overcome it. We ended up in alternative camp and were treated to an evening of food and local music and dancing (plus beers!) alongside a Spanish group which made the evening even more fun!
Our final days consisted of a Via Ferrata including a tightrope style bridge 100+ meters in the air that on first glance I thought there was no way I could force myself to do, but again with Dan's super calm and supportive manner and the encouragement of the group we all managed and got some amazing photos to boot! There was also a hike out into the mountains which was about 10-12km and we were blessed to meet one of the local nomad tribesmen who have lived in the mountains for generations. Seeing the bond Dan has created with him and his family over the years they have lived in Morocco is quite something, as there's a genuine warmth from both sides even though on first glance their lives could not have been more different, however when you look deeper the mountains of Morocco are both their happy place and their livelihoods and it's this magical place which brings them together.
Faisal made sure every night we were treated to what I'm sure is the best food in Morocco, served with a smile and a laugh every night - and of course his signature Moroccan Mint Tea which is a delight and an experience in itself!
The people of the surrounding village are so warm and welcoming and Natalie, Dan and Owain really have immersed themselves in the life and culture of Morocco and have been embraced completely by the locals, and as an extension of that all of their guests are too which makes the trip all the better. As well as being guides and the trip organisers, they're just really great people too.
Our group of travellers was such a fantastic blend of people from all different backgrounds, ages, climbing and yoga abilities and reasons for coming on the trip, and this made it such a wonderful experience. There's something about being with people you don't know plus being in this alien environment and doing things you normally wouldn't (ie climbing a sheer rock face!) that encourages people to open up and some of my favourite parts of the trip were our evening meals and weirdly even the long car journeys where we got in to some really deep conversations. Our WhatsApp group is still active and there's been a few meet ups since and I'm sure more to come!
This was my first solo trip and I was a little apprehensive about it, but I cannot recommend it enough. The whole booking process through MBA to then the trip itself was amazing and it really is the people that make it, without the enthusiasm, warmth, laughter and support of the team it would not be the same trip.
It really was a life-changing experience for me so for anyone reading these reviews wondering if you should give it a go - do it!

If you’re thinking about booking,
If you’re thinking about booking, absolutely do. Honestly this was one of the best trips I’ve been on - the climbing and yoga are a perfect combination. A big part of why is with thanks to Natalie, Dan and Owain. They really go above and beyond, they were so patient and encouraging and every detail - from the climbing to the food - was just right.
Most of our days were spent in the Gorge and after a day of climbing, the yoga sessions were perfect. Practicing outdoors was really special, surrounding by stunning views, the views are so so incredible as well whilst climbing. And, of course, in the desert.
We had a group that were constantly laughing and every moment was unforgettable. I cannot recommend this trip enough!!
Magical Moroccan Adventure
This was an incredible trip from start to finish. Natalie and Dan are clearly very passionate about what they do and that comes across with how well executed, enjoyable and organised everything was. For me, the highlight was definitely the rock climbing. We had a variety of experience levels, some of whom had never climbed before. Dan and Natalie tailored it to everyone’s ability level so we all felt safe and also challenged! It was a beautiful location in the gorge in the mountains. We had a great group of people which made it even better. The other highlight was the Sahara desert and the sunset/ sunrise yoga. The trip was activity packed with mostly earlyish starts, and a fair amount of driving on the second and last day but it was really rewarding. I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for adventure, a bit of escapism and wants to experience Moroccan culture

Had a great experience with
Had a great experience with Dan and the team. Definitely recommend as they went through safety and showed us the best way to climb. 10/10experience.

Worth every penny!
An action-packed week of activities with a great group of people on our trip and supportive and attentive coaches. This was my first experience of climbing outdoors and what a location for it! I can’t wait to return to Morocco next year for more!
A great intro to climbing
A great intro to climbing in an amazing setting. Hosts, instructors, accommodation and food were all excellent.

Don’t think twice!
I read a review before booking this trip, which said don’t think twice about booking, and they were absolutely right! I had the best week in Morocco, it was non stop fun! The activities were arranged perfectly and I loved doing them all!! The even bigger highlight of the trip was the great group I got to spend the week with!! I can’t wait for future trips!

Truly special week
This trip was everything I hoped it would be and more - lovely people (locals, organizers, and other participants), spectacular scenery, amazing climbing and yoga. The organization and communication was great and everything felt more like traveling with friends than a corporate tour. The climbing instruction and attention to safety was excellent and I felt able to push the limits of my climbing ability. I found the routes we climbed to be very challenging but achievable and topping them gave me a real sense of accomplishment! I was glad that I had some gym climbing experience going in as the techniques I had learned indoors were valuable. Yoga was in beautiful outdoor settings and totally put me back together after the hard climbing days. Accommodations were basic but incredibly gracious and the food was tasty, plentiful, and healthful, with good catering for vegetarians. Did I mention the scenery? I"m not sure I've ever been anywhere more beautiful. I can't imagine a better first outdoor climbing experience or a better way to experience Morocco!

Brilliant!
Had such a fantastic time in Morocco. Met such lovely people and the gorge was such a perfect climbing spot. Owine and Natalie were brilliant hosts. Can’t recommend the trip enough.

To increase your confidence go where you have none
This was my first holiday with much better adventures and was quite spontaneous. I went with my daughter as I’d said we would get away for a short break and we fancied some warmth and something different. I knew there was a good chance I would be the old man of the group and that as a father and daughter this most probably wasn’t the norm. I needn’t have worried. We had an amazing group and everyone was super friendly and fun- all enabled by rock n yogi who are fab. Morocco doesn’t necessarily have all the creature comforts and the food was a little basic but the reward is definitely a great destination for climbing and yoga - plus of course the trip to the desert, completely unforgettable. Thank you 😊

Incredible Adventure!
This was my first solo trip and it’s one I will never forget. The patience and hospitality of everyone involved is remarkable, from the driver who had to wait nearly 4hrs for me to get through passport security and was still there waiting for me, to the amazing and friendly local people Hanan and Mourad at Riad Inaka and Faisal at the Gorge Hotel. Everyone treats you as if you’re part of their family, especially our lovely hosts Natalie and Dan with the help of Georgie, Owain and Nigel who couldn’t do enough for you and make the trip so much fun. Couldn’t thank them enough for working really hard to change plans to make sure we could make the most of our trip despite the challenging weather we experienced.
You can’t get enough of the beautiful views, every corner you turn just gets better. The Sahara is a mind blowing place and the views whilst you rock climb just keep on surprising you. There was so many firsts on this trip and each one an achievement to be proud of. If the trip wasn’t amazing enough, the people in your group make the adventure that much more special.
Morocco is a special place and if you got this far looking at the reviews, then you must book this trip, you won’t be disappointed!

10/10 experience
Had the best time. Everyday was amazing. Dan and Natalie were super helpful and accommodating, we were taken care of every step of the way. Couldn't recommend this experience enough.

Adventure of the Year!!
This trip was easily the best thing I did in 2024 and maybe for the last few years.
While we got off to a rocky start due to some unexpected weather, the other people on the trip and the organizers - Natalie, Dan, Owain, Georgie and Nigel, made the adventure unforgettable.
I couldn't recommend this trip enough - sunrise yoga in the Sahara, 30m+ rock climbing, first time lead climbing, first time on Via Ferrata, beautiful local animals, extremely friendly and open locals and perphaps the most interesting of all, the other people who put themselves out there and come on a trip like this.
Be prepared for the fact that this is Morocco, nothing is straightforward and everyone moves at their own pace and you'll have the adventure of a lifetime!
Unique and very special experience
Since returning home from this adventure (followed by the intro to surfing weekend) I have not stopped banging on about it to anyone and everyone! Time finally to write a review...
The organisation was impeccable. Adverse weather conditions caused delays to most of our arrival flights but the advance notice we had been given on navigating the airport and getting organised with simcards for local networks meant that transfers still happened smoothly, with Natalie directing operations remotely from the High Atlas. The lovely Riad Inaka staff even produced a hot meal for us at 23:00. Natalie continued guiding us through and overcoming the meteorological vagaries Morocco had in store for us, ensuring we had a completely amazing time in the Sahara. Who needs yoga in the desert when you can sandboard into a sandstorm, and watch the sun rise while lightning dances over the dunes?!
Natalie's yoga sessions on the balcony overlooking the beautiful Todra gorge were a special time, as was the sound bath, and the perfect recovery after climbing.
The climbing! As one of those not entirely comfortable with heights, this was always going to be a challenge... What made it possible for me to achieve climbs I would never have contemplated was Dan's approach. His emphasis on safety and the awareness that we were all looking after each other made it feel as safe an environment as an adventure sport can have. There was never any pressure to do anything, just calm encouragement and guidance from Dan & Owain - and each other. Our achievements were celebrated, whether it was overcoming a moment of panic on a hike, crossing the rope bridge of the via ferrata or lead climbing a trickier pitch by one of the more experienced climbers. We all came away enthused, proud and buoyant. As a group of predominantly solo travellers we gelled over these few days in an extraordinary way - bonding through shared challenges, tears of laughter and fear, and food - such a lot of food! Our hosts at the guesthouse, Faisal and Mohammed, played a massive part in making the trip so special. The freshest local ingredients combined with love and presented with theatricality by Faisal, and the wicked humour of both of them, was the icing on the cake.
This was a truly life-affirming experience - I cannot recommend it highly enough!

I recently returned from an
I recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Morocco with Much Better Adventures, hosted by Natalie and Dan (Rock n Yogi Adventures), and I can’t recommend it highly enough! The trip was a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion. Natalie led incredible yoga sessions every evening, allowing us to unwind and reflect after action-packed days, while Dan took us rock climbing in the stunning Todra Gorge. As an amateur in both yoga and climbing, I felt completely supported and encouraged by both Natalie and Dan throughout the experience.
As a vegan, I was thrilled by how well I was catered for—each day brought a new and delicious Moroccan dish that showcased the local flavors beautifully. The real highlight for me, though, was our time in the Sahara desert: playing in the dunes, practicing sunset yoga on the golden sands, gathering around a campfire to the sound of traditional Berber music, and sleeping under the vast, star-filled sky. It was pure magic.
The entire trip was flawlessly organized, and I met some incredible people along the way who I’m now lucky enough to call friends. If you're looking for a well-rounded adventure with a perfect mix of excitement, culture, and mindfulness, this Morocco trip is for you!

Travel insurance is compulsory for all of our adventures and you are required to provide your policy information before departing. Your insurance should include adequate protection for overseas medical treatment, evacuation/repatriation, your baggage and equipment and the specific activities involved on your adventure. We also strongly recommend it includes cancellation and curtailment insurance, should you be unable to join your trip for specific reasons such as illness. Our recommended travel insurance provider is Campbell Irvine, as their insurance offers all of the above.

Visa requirements often change, and you are responsible for obtaining any required visas for this trip. Please check with your nearest embassy or consulate for up-to-date advice.

We partner with the World Land Trust to ensure this trip achieves Net-Zero emissions. We also support their Buy an Acre program, helping local communities to buy and protect natural habitats in perpetuity.
What's the number?
It works out on average at 424kg of CO2 emissions per person, including all local transport, accommodation, food, activities, guides, staff and office operations.
The only thing it doesn’t include right now is flights and travel to the destination. We do make an overall estimate across all our customers separately, but as we don’t book flights, have customers from all corners of the world, and no way of reliably knowing their travel plans, we simply can’t include an individual number in the figure on display here. We’ve got a goal to fix that, so that when you book, there is a way to measure and mitigate the carbon emitted by your flight too.
But what does the number mean?
Yep, hard to picture eh? To give you an idea:
- Driving 1000 miles/1609km would be approximately 281kg of CO2 in an average car (or 140.5kg per person, if there were two of you in it).
- A return economy class flight between London and New York would be approximately 1619kg (1.66 tonnes) per person.
- 10 trees in a temperate forest are estimated to remove approximately 250kg of CO2 from the air in a period of 5-10 years.
What are we doing about it?
Our trips are relatively low-carbon by design, and we're working with all our hosts to develop long term carbon reduction plans. We partner with the World Land Trust to ensure this trip achieves Net-Zero emissions. We also support their Buy an Acre programme, helping local communities to buy and protect natural habitats in perpetuity, ensuring the protection of the reserve and its wildlife.
Want to know more?
Amazingly, no international travel company has ever publicly published their carbon measurements before, as far as we know. We believe that must change, quickly. So we’re openly sharing the method we used in the hope that other companies will be able to more easily follow suit and build on what we've done so far. You'll find it all here.
Drinkable water is collected from the gorge while you are out and about, and water bottles can be filled up at each accommodation, so some reusable bottles will be well used.
As you will be traveling by private bus to Todra Gorge and back, you can just take your bag with you all the way.
You will need to bring your own climbing shoes. If you don't have them already, these can be purchased for approximately $40 from Decathlon or similar stores. You should buy those that fit comfortably in the store—don't follow advice to get them extra tight or a smaller shoe size than you would normally wear. Your feet will swell with the heat in Morocco, so finding a pair that fit like normal shoes and no tighter is important.
Ramadan is expected to take place from February 17 to March 19, 2026. The national holiday of Eid ul-Fitr will follow for 2-3 days. Ramadan is an Islamic festival where the religious do not eat or drink during daylight hours. While this is a really interesting time to travel, especially to witness celebrations where the fast is broken in the evenings, you can expect some business hours will be shortened, alcohol is not permitted during daylight hours, and some restaurants will be closed during this festival period. Activities for local people tend to be limited during the day, and the nights are very active in cities with lots of different foods being sold and consumed. Ramadan will not affect the inclusions on your trip, although you should be aware that dinners will be served after locals break their fast in the evenings.
This trip operates in areas where daytime temperatures can reach extreme highs, where limited shade and high humidity can also be a factor. These conditions can affect physical performance and increase the risk of dehydration or heat-related illness. Your guide will adjust the pace and monitor the group closely, but hydration, proper clothing, and sun protection are essential.
Before traveling, consider your ability to be active in high temperatures and consult a medical professional if you have concerns –especially if you have any cardiovascular or heat-sensitive conditions. Arriving a day or two prior to the trip may help you adjust gradually to the heat.

We recommend that all customers review the practical information available on the UK Government’s FCDO website, where you can find up-to-date advice by searching for your destination(s).

We recommend checking out the country-specific information and also talking to a travel nurse.
